Honest review.
I finally decided to try a Dyson and have had it for a month. I will say that I’m pleased with the battery and the suction as well as the different attachments. I bought this vaccum specifically for the pet hair brush head but I notice that it’s quite stiff and doesn’t lie flat with the ground. Because it’s always at an angle I feel like I’m not getting the best suction against the floor but I can’t use the other brush head as it gets clogged from dog hair.

Dyson V8, battery and general performance
Given all the hype regarding Dyson products I was disappointed with the suction performance of the V8. While the motor heads picked up pet hair etc the nozzle attachments on their own didn't perform well especially for cleaning out my car.
The V8 is really a duster for light cleaning.
The battery life is poor with on 30 minutes run time and it takes at least 4 to 5 hours to change back up to full.
I also wouldn't recommend leaving any device or equipment on charge 24/7 for both battery degradation and for fire safety.
The switch has to be permanently held to operate the V8 and this isn't very comfortable and could pose issues for older people with a weak grip.
The handle in general isn't that comfortable to hold especially with the charge port hole positioned right in the middle of the handle down low at the the back of the handle.

I Vacuum Now… for Fun. Who Even Am I?
Before the Dyson V8 Absolute came into my life, vacuuming was something I did begrudgingly—like going to the dentist or sharing fries. But now? I schedule vacuuming sessions like dates. Sometimes I even dress up for them. 🧹✨
This thing SUCKS—in the best way possible. It’s so powerful it once picked up a rogue Lego and my will to clean, both of which had been missing for years.
Cordless? Yes. That means I now glide from room to room like a domestic ninja, cleaning crumbs, cat fur, and my toddler’s endless trail of destruction. I’m basically the Dyson Whisperer now.
Bonus: It’s so quiet, I vacuum while taking work calls and nobody knows. I’ve hit Peak Adulthood.
If you’re still using a vacuum with a cord… my friend… it’s time to join us in the 21st century. There’s no going back. Unless you trip over your old vacuum’s cord. Then yeah, you’ll go back—fast.

Awesome little vac
Game changer. It's actually fun to hoover now. We only needed the V8 as we have a smaller house and we don't mind charging up between bits. It lasts pretty much as long as it says it does on the lighter setting but on full power the battery drains quite quickly. It is a different way of hoovering though, it is not on contstantly so you get used to only hovering as you need to. And is very easy to empty.

Hi I bought the V8 Absolute having previously owned a V6. I find the handle a bit smaller than the V6 and the area of my hand between my thumb and forefinger is consistently rubbing off the front part of the machine i.e the filter. As a 72 year old I find I have to be very careful with it as my skin is not as thick or strong as a younger person. It is more an uncomfortable experience than the V6.

Makes vacuuming so effortless.
Bought this on sale two weeks ago and already it has made vacuuming so much easier. Its lightweight and easy to use. 7 different attachments for house and car use. Doing the stairs is so easy compared to my previous cleaner. No cables and no lifting. The only downside is charge time 40 mins, however, you can keep it on charge so always ready to use. Good purchase

Very happy with my Dyson V8 Absolute, load of attachments included, powerful suction, so easy to maneuver, easy to clean, love it. Had prior the outsized version and was so heavy and not as powerful as this one.
