Dyson V15s Detect Submarine™ wet and dry vacuum cl
Love our new Dyson, vacuum is absolutely amazing. The strength is mighty even on our furry carpet upstairs. I do not like the wet roller attachment for using water and moping floors. The attachment is leaky and it's not really "cleaning" floors, it just messes the dust around, which is a pity cause this was really why we decided to buy this model, or else we would buy older version which is cheaper.
Other attachments are absolutely great and we love them all. As we used it we can't return it to swap for model without the wet roller head attachment, however if I was to go buy again, I would buy older and cheaper model without wet roller head.

Great product
Best floor cleaner ever. Like most people who own a cordless hoover it replaces your old hoover and sweeping brush but this now replaces your mop and bucket too. It uses so little water and I don’t have to drag a bucket of water around the house. It uses clean water to wash the floor, so unlike a mop, you aren’t putting it back into a bucket of dirty water. It glides across the floor so easily. It cleaned my natural stone tiles, ceramic tiles & wooden floors and they were all streak free. I used hardly any battery life to wash the floors. It makes washing the floors so easy that I am doing it as often as I would hoover. It was super easy to fill up with water and rinse when I was done with it. I cannot recommend this enough.

Excellent in many ways
Perfect for cleaning up with dogs and kids on the family. Really state of the art, like with a powerful computer within the vacuum cleaner. Apparently it comes with everything Dyson offers in terms of attachments + the wet cleaning. If you’re wondering if the extra price is worth it compared to the regular V15, I’d say it comes down to how often you have marks around the kitchen (for example, when introducing food to your little one). For us, 100% worth it.
Only downside is the battery could last longer, which you only really notice on big carpets.
In terms of Harvey Norman, delivery and attention to customer satisfaction is a no brainer, very happy overall.

Sub function doesn't work
Hoover is good. The submarine wet to dry is awful. Would have returned the whole thing only it was more expensive without the sub attachment. Wouldn't recommend at all, it just leave wet streaks allover the floor not even suitable for in-between proper washes.

Effective wet and dry cleaning.
PROS:
- powerful suction and deep cleaning from the digital motorbar cleaning head (the proof is what you see collected in the bin after cleaning)
- the fluffy optic cleaner head shows the dirt you can't see (you might think your hard floors are clean until you use this!)
- long battery life
- no trailing or snagged power cable with a cordless vacuum
- the new submarine cleaning head works well on tiled and wood floors.
CONS:
- poor suction from the included combination tool and quick-release crevice tool
- a dusting brush wasn't included which would have made the vacuum a good all-rounder and would compensate somewhat for the shortcomings of the combination and crevice tools.
- after rinsing, it's difficult to wring all of the water from the fluffy roller of the submarine cleaning head, which means it can take several days to fully dry (but I found a shortcut - read on below).
- waste extraction tray of the submarine cleaning head isn't sealed. As the tray holds the dirty water, be careful how you position the cleaning head while cleaning (keep it level!) and how you hold it afterwards to avoid spilling the contents.
While the V15S appears to be identical to the V15, the submarine head isn't compatible with the latter - an "Airways Blocked" warning message will be displayed. The submarine head will not work on the V15.
Before wet cleaning, you should first vacuum your hard floors with the fluffy optic cleaning head to remove any surface dust and hairs, etc. so that this doesn't collect on the submarine head. In use, the wet cleaning head leaves a very thin film of water on the floor which dries quickly. Light stains or smears are easily removed but more stubborn, ingrained staining will require several passes. The head is motorised so you will need a firm hand to guide it. After cleaning, I was shocked at how dirty the water in the extraction tray was! Like the fluffy optic cleaning head, you might think your floors look clean until you use the wet cleaning head! The bottom section of the head slides out for cleaning and I found it a little fiddly to reattach until I saw the small red arrow on the left of the bottom section indicating exactly where I should slide this into the groove on the top section to reassemble the head.
As for the difficulty wringing all of the water from the fluffy roller after rinsing, I'd recommend the following: put a little water in the reservoir (Dyson cautions against wet cleaning with an empty water reservoir to prevent the motor overheating), press the trigger and run the head for 10-15 seconds over a small section of your now clean floor. It sounds counter-intuitive (add water to remove water!) but the bottom section of the head has a squeegee-like rubber edge that is quite effective at extracting water from the roller when in use. This removed almost all of the remaining water, which collected in the extraction tray and it shortened the drying time.
This is Dyson's first wet and dry cleaning cordless vacuum and notwithstanding some minor niggles, it's a worthy addition to the range.

LOVE the Submarine! What a time saver!!!
I've been a Dyson vacuum cleaner fan for a while now, and I've owned both the Dyson V15 Detect and the Dyson V12 Detect Slim. When I heard about the new Dyson V15s Detect Submarine, I was excited to try it out.
The V15s Detect Submarine is essentially a V15 Detect with a wet floor mopping attachment. The mopping attachment is very easy to use, and it does a great job of cleaning hard floors. The motorised roller picks up dirt, debris, and even tough stains. The cleaning solution helps to break down dirt and grease, and it leaves floors feeling clean and refreshed.
I'm particularly impressed with how much time the V15s Detect Submarine saves me. I was able to clean two rooms and two bathrooms in just a few minutes. The time savings are incredible, and it actually makes mopping fun!
Another thing I love about the V15s Detect Submarine is that it cleans my floors much better than I thought they were. I have light-colored engineered wood floors, and I couldn't really see the streaks on them before. But after cleaning with the V15s Detect Submarine, I realized how much dirt and grime it was actually removing.
Here are a few other things I love about the V15s Detect Submarine:
- It has powerful suction, so it can easily pick up pet hair, dust mites, and other allergens.
- It's lightweight and easy to maneuver, so it's great for cleaning stairs and furniture.
- It has a long battery life, so I can clean my entire house on a single charge.
- It's easy to empty and clean.
Here are a few things I don't love about the V15s Detect Submarine:
- The unit with the water tank is quite heavy, and it can become tiring to use after extended periods of time.
- You need to keep the button pressed while you are mopping, which can also be tiring.
- Cleaning the mop compartment is a bit of work, but it's still much easier than cleaning a mop and bucket.
Overall, I highly recommend the Dyson V15s Detect Submarine vacuum cleaner. It's a great all-in-one vacuum cleaner that can clean both carpets and hard floors with ease. It's just important to be aware of the few drawbacks, such as the weight of the unit and the need to keep the button pressed while mopping.
I would also like to add that the V15s Detect Submarine is a great option for people who are looking for a quick and easy way to clean their floors. It's also a good option for people who have pets or allergies, as it can remove a lot of dirt and allergens from the floor in a very short amount of time. And I like to spend my time on other things than vacuum cleaning / mopping the floors :).

OMG This Machine is Excellent
This vacuum is fantastic and actually makes me want to vacuum and mop. I have a 2 year old German Shepherd, lots of hair shredding, dust and muddy paws. The optic head is amazing, you might think your floors are dust free, but this attachment shows otherwise. I just vacuumed the hallway and was amazed at the amount dust and hair I wasn't seeing. Fantastic attachment. Oh the Submarine wet roller head just brings this machine to the next level, I live in Ireland and we have had a very wet week, this attachment has been a Godsend with mopping up all the wet muddy paws. The mop head is so handy and just glides across the floors requiring very little effort. This machine is going to be used multiple times a day in our house. I would recommend it to everyone especially dog owners, you won't be disappointed, and may even enjoy vacuuming and mopping.

Our house has never been cleaner!
Genuinely our house has never been cleaner. The ease of using a Dyson has always been one of the reasons we use them but this has changed the game once again. With two young kids our kitchen is always a challenge to keep clean but with the submarine we now clean all the mess that they throw at us. Cereal spills that once struck terror into hearts are no longer an issue.
We could not imagine using anything else to keep our house clean and tidy. If you want an all in 1 cleaning product for you house then this is it. We could not be happier.
