Excellent choice
Bought this as our ordinary (never ordinary) Dyson is too heavy for me now that arthritis is getting worse! Really pleased with the weight and suction, can’t believe how much dust etc is coming out of our rug, especially as it has always been vacuumed with a Dyson! Really love this model, easy to use and a small machine that packs a big punch or clean!

Vacuuming a Pleasure !!
I thought “ok it’s expensive but I’ll try it” and What a result - Everything about this is excellent. Ease of use Cleanning Power Lightness and Adaptability and Run Time are all attributes that are first class.

Poor warranty
I like the light weight of the V12 compared to the V15. Yes, the bin needs emptying more often, but it's not too bad, and the bin is a bit easier to pull bits out of because it is shallower. Battery life is OK, and it hasn't let me down yet, but I only have 30% charge remaining after I do the house, so I'm hoping that won't be a problem as the battery capacity naturally fades over time.
The big negative to me is the short two-year warranty. Considering the price of the vacuum, I can't understand why Dyson isn't prepared to stand behind their cordless vacuums. They need to last five years at the very minimum, so why not warrant that they will stand up to the test of time (after all, their corded vacuums come with five-year warranties). The current approach is not customer-friendly and it smacks of corporate greed: let's charge a lot, reap high margins, and ignore customers' stress if their expensive vacuum fails in two years and one day.

I bought this a few weeks ago and quite happy with it however I find the battery does not last at all.need to keep charging constantly. Pretty much the only downside to it.dyson shouldve provided an extra battery with the machine as its an expensive machine..

Convenient and lightweight, but...
Our old Dyson Light Ball upright cleaner developed a fault so we decided to buy this modern alternative. My wife is in her late 70s and petite so she wanted a lightweight model.
The dust bin is very small and has to be emptied frequently - we have a large dog and the living room alone takes two bin-fulls. Also it isn't as powerful as our old mains machine and, for some reason, the handle rubs against the inside of our thumbs.
It's a shame manufacturers are turning to making battery-operated machines when the traditional ones actually work better.

GREAT MACHINE
This is my third Dyson vacuum cleaner, the first cordless. I’ve only had it for three weeks but very pleased with it so far. Very light; very powerful; very versatile. Various tools perfect for cleaning difficult to access areas like under beds, sofas, desks, etc… I haven’t used all the tools yet so can’t comment on all of them. My only criticism would be lack of printed paper instructions, but maybe that’s an age thing! I don’t want to have to keep referring to the app on my ‘phone - that’s why I haven’t used all the tools yet as I’m not sure what they are for and how to use them. Any suggestions/advice, please!

Initial glitches but happy
Upgrading from a V8 & overall much better performance. Particularly like the light on the hard floor attachment which shows dust & pet hair. Battery drains very quickly using the boost function. We had a couple of issues. Firstly we found that the pin in the charging point was slanted & we couldn’t charge the unit. We resolved this ourselves by filing the plastic on the reverse. Secondly changing the attachments was very difficult as they were hard to remove. Again this was resolved by ourselves with a greasing agent. I vacume more than average & am pleased with this model’s performance so far.
