Open Flat BBQ Mode
Open the grill flat for a bigger grilling and griddle surface. Makes grilling steaks, burgers or seafood a cinch and cooks eggs and pancakes to perfection. Removable drip tray works in BBQ or contact mode and catches the fat whilst cooking. Outdoor grilling has now found a new home on your benchtop.

Independent Plate Temperature Control
The electronic temperature control on each plate puts you in command. When opened on the BBQ mode, you now have the ability to cook a great variety of food that require different temperatures independently. Endless food combinations to keep you cooking morning, noon and night.
Reversible Ceramic Grill and Griddle Plates
Sizzle bacon and eggs for breakfast, toast panini sandwiches for lunch, cook steaks for dinner, make waffles for dessert. Non-stick and natural coating enables the dual sided convenience. Great Press Grill but some instructions & recipes would have been nice
Overall I love this grill, and it's the first one I've ever owned. However, the startup guide that comes with it is very basic. It mentions that there are three presets: panini, burger, steak but doesn't give any indication of what this means in terms of how hot the plates will get, whether top and bottom plates are the same temperature etc. It should have shipped with a small recipe book or guidance of how to cook with the grill at the very least, which is why I've docked one star. It just feels lazy on the part of Sage.

Sage BBQ and Press Grill
Very pleased we bought this machine after a lot of searching for something that would be free of ptfe/pfoa etc. The ceramic plates are so easy to clean and the grill overall is easy to use and very versatile as well as being the high quality construction and finish you’d expect from sage. Would have liked a recipe book or suggestions for cooking times etc., but I guess we’ll find out as we go. That said, would highly recommend.

Great decision
This has been an amazing purchase, we love the BBQ & Press Grill. We use it frequently and it has even replaced our toaster. We also bought the waffle plates, which transformed weekend breakfasts, not to mention making waffle omelette!! Loved it so much our sister bought one and we sent them waffle plates for Christmas!

Great device, be good if it got hotter and if the plates didn’t cool down as quickly as they do when cooking. Also the non stick is great but after a couple of months it’s a pain to try to clean. Dishwasher doesn’t get the job done sadly. The waffle plates are separate purchase but fantastic and work brilliantly

Removable Plates Are a Plus– Small Lid Adjustment Needed
Sage quality as always! One small note about this model — be careful not to touch the grill lid when closing it while hot. Also, you’ll need to manually adjust the lid to keep it level during use, as it tends to tilt. I have another Breville grill (the one without removable plates), and on that model the lid stays parallel when you adjust the height, almost like an elevator system. It seems they skipped that feature on this one.
On the other hand, the removable plates are a big plus — they make cleaning much easier. Just make sure the plates have fully cooled before washing.

Love it but heavy
Love this machine we have cooked countless toasties, steak, eggs, waffles and burgers and they always come out great. Waffle plates are really good.
Could do with some guidance on what temperatures to use. One thing to be aware of is this is a big and heavy machine so make sure you are strong and have lots of space.
