Purity Glass Brita Kettle
The super stylish Russell Hobbs Purity Glass Kettle has a built-in Brita water filter system that reduces limescale and chlorine, and permanently absorbs any copper and lead that could occur in tap water. Over time, these chemicals can sometimes leave residue or a bad taste in your hot drink. Its built-in Brita water filtration system removes these impurities.

To make sure every litre of water you boil remains pure, there is a handy built in alert to remind you when the cartridge needs to be replaced. The Purity Glass Kettle embodies a timeless simplicity of style, with high quality glass casing so you can watch the water as it boils. As the temperature rises, the water is infused with soft blue light which illuminates at its brightest when boiling point is reached. Leaks like a sieve
I purchased this kettle because it is glass and filters the water so meets all my requirements.
The switch broke after about 18 months but with the 2 year extended warranty it was replaced no questions.
I was only offered the remaining warranty on the new product which seems rather short sighted.
Both kettles leaked from the base extensively so I was pleased to get a new one. I have recently received replacement kettle number 3 due to excessive leaking onto the electrical base plate.
Sadly after 10 days the new kettle leaks just as much if not more than the old one.
They have offered me a 4th replacement but I think I will move on from the brand and look elsewhere.

Should have tried this sooner.......
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who lives in a pretty hard water area, I'm used to to the weekly cleaning of descaling the kettle with its fast build up of limescale. However with this kettle and built in filter so far it's been non existing, absolutely love it! The water tastes purer and its so easy to use I expected alot of faff but not at all. The filter cartridge is easy to fit and built in so when u fill the kettle it's used. There's even a handy count down screen on the top so you can see when your due to change the cartridge! The design is beautiful and I'm a fan the pretty blue light when it's boiling and seeing the bubbles. Definitely love this kettle

Great tasting tea
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was surprised but how this changed the taste of my tea for the better compared with my old kettle. The boil is quiet and the water pours out smoothly so low risks of splashes.
As you pour the cold water into the filter it does filter quiet slowly so if you have to fill it all the way to the top for a few cups of tea it will take a few more minutes than a standard kettle. The filtered water does make the tea taste better and more pure. At the top of a kettle is an indicator which tells you when you need to change the filter which is handy which works out to be about once a month.
I would definitely recommend this kettle if you want the best tasting tea.

Best kettle I've ever had.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this kettle. It's so sleek and stylish and looks great in my kitchen. The chrome effect with the glass looks so classy, and I love the fact that it's illuminated as it boils. It boils alot quicker than my old kettle, therefore saving me more electricity. The Brita filter, much to my surprise, really does make a difference. You can taste, and see, the difference between the Brita filtered water and the non filtered standard kettles. No more scummy bits floating in my cups of tea! I highly recommend this kettle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this kettle for a couple of weeks now. Living in a very hard water area having the added feature of a water filter was just what I was looking for. I am amazed by the purity of the water after its boiled as my previous kettle always looked cloudy. I love the fact its a clear kettle, it has a tab on the top of the lid to show when the filter needs changing. It looks stylish and upto date with the added feature of small blue lights around the base which eliminate whilst switched on.

Great clarity of water and stylish design
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the design of this transparent kettle - it give a layer of style to my quite traditional kitchen. Living in a hard water area, this is perfect for us, I used to have to descale a kettle every few weeks to month or so. With this purity kettle its great to have clearer, smoother water. It takes a few minutes for the water to filter before boiling but by the time you got your mug, tea and sugar in its ready to go! Much quieter than my previous kettle too :)

Smart and functional kettle
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in a hard water area and have always liked glass kettles. Now it seems I can have one as this kettle filters the water. The insertion of the filter was straight forward as the instructions were clear. Although there is a slight delay between adding the water and putting the kettle on - as the water needs to be filtered, this is very minimal. I am probably more aware now only to put in the amount of water needed into the kettle too so this will reduce energy costs. I am delighted that I won’t be descaling a kettle every few weeks. The kettle itself is very attractive and functional. The water is easy to pour in and out and I enjoy seeing the water bubbling.

I have hard water so get a lot of lime scale so hoping this will help with that, so far so good!
Only issue is the filter means that you can only slightly fill the kettle each time, as you need to let the water drain though, maybe the filter could of been placed lower so that the kettle can be filled more …
So a tad annoying when you want to make more than 2 small cups but otherwise fab!
