Great little tool
Perfect for blending for soup and fruit I wouldn’t expect to much from it but as a hand blender it is very good value.

Russell Hobbs hand blender - a must have
This product is great for all kinds of uses in the kitchen. Since receiving it a week ago I have used it to blend home-made soup, to create smoothies, and whisk cream. It is very well made and the blades are very sharp and effective. The detachable bottom half makes cleaning very handy and you don’t have to worry about any issues with submerging in water. Would highly recommend.

Disappointing
After my old hand blender eventually gave up, it was time to look around for a new one. Having bought Russell Hobbs products in the past I was confident that this blender was a good choice. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have the power to blend as well as I'd expect - even a simple banana milkshake still had lumps of banana in it. This can be mitigated by blending for a seemingly long time, by which time the motor gets a bit hot.
I also found that the top heavy shape of the unit had disadvantages. When leaving the blender upright in the bowl so I could reach for more ingredients, the weight of the unit can cause the blender to topple, resulting in spilt bowls all over the side and floor. This has happened more than once. The work-around has been to leave the blender unit dripping on the side (or detach the blade from the base), so either way the side gets unnecessarily messy.
For the price I guess it's a good blender; it does eventually do the job (as long as you like chewing soup), and you can find work-arounds to its problems. However, in future I'll do more research, and save up for a better quality one. I do feel that I've wasted my money on this, and it will make me think twice before choosing Russell Hobbs in the future.

Great until blade shot out
I bought this a couple of months ago I have used it a handful of times for soup and smoothies and found it great until yesterday when I was making soup the blade and all the metal bar in the middle just launched out into the soup. It didn't even last the 6months

Great product
I bought this product to save time and effort blending soup and I'm really pleased with the results. It's a sturdy hand held blender which is easy to control. The removable leg makes it easy and safe to wash properly. I definitely recommend it.

New blender
My old hand blender gave up the ghost. So I needed a new one but wanted one similar to the one I had. Harvey Norman always has what I need. Blender is great exactly what zi wanted.
