Unbelievably great coffee machine
I received this machine last night and have been experimenting with it this morning. It is unbelievably great. I work in a coffee shop so I know a thing or two about great coffee and I researched for hours trying to find an equivalent for your own home. I can confidently say that I now no longer need to spend money on coffee shop coffee because this machine does everything you needed to for great latte art and espressos. The instruction manual is incredibly clear and you can't go wrong if you try out the grind settings and find the perfect grinding for your type of coffee beans. The steam wand is powerful and creates fantastic microfoam. 10/10!!!!

The best investment next to our Volvo
This is our second barista machine, the first one lasted 5 years before it packed up. This model is the smallest and fits neatly under our kitchen cupboard. It is a hands on experience and requires practice and a good routine to keep it filled up and in best condition. I use the sage descale tablets in the group head every 3 weeks and a new water filter and sage descale powder every two months. The taste of the coffee is down to choosing the right beans I use monsoon malabar on grind 6 with the dispenser pointing to 12 o’clock. It’s a punchy little machine and produces excellent results if you work at it and we think it’s worth its weight in gold.

Have it for last 3 years. Its perfect machine for coffee lovers. I don't drinking coffees out home anymore as most of them don't taste as good as my own one. (its not ideal for big parties when i could say 6+ guests prefer coffee as making double latte taking on average around 2-3 minutes that include frothing, grinding etc.)machine its very easy to look after, made from good quality parts, fault less. I spoke one time with professional barista and guess what he have the same coffee machine at home.!!! If you love to drink coffe and have 3 minutes at the morning to prepare your best cofee ever. it will be best machine for you what last ages. Definitely worth to buy.

The Sage Barista is a well thought out design and excellent build-quality
The Sage Barista is a very well thought-out design and it is of an excellent build-quality. It is ideal for producing a single or double shot with minimal effort and the milk frother works well to deliver a Latte.
I used a couple of bags of beans before I figured out the settings for the Grind Size and the Dosing Quantity. These can vary between beans but I soon got the hang of what to change.
I found only one problem: the ground coffee overflows the filter and I was losing up to 10% of my coffee. A third party device, a Dosing Funnel, solves the problem... why was there not a Dosing Funnel included by Sage?

We have celebrated the day we bought this machine every day since we did.
Our Barista Express gets used every single day. My son, a coffee aficionado returned from 8 years drinking coffee in NY, is full of praise and says it delivers the best coffee; I have switched from preferring instant (I'm sorry) to being a total fan. One big benefit is that it produces a hot drink, so many of the coffees one buys just aren't hot enough. Despite living in the country we benefit from a wonderful local roaster from whom we now buy beans in 2kg tubs, such is the pleasure that everyone gets from the machine. It has powered us through lockdown. I thoroughly recommend it.

Four years service 5 time s aday and never an issue
My coffee machine gets relentless use everyday and it's still brilliant. The poor reviews I've read here are all from people who seem to not know how to use the machine.
It's not a simple machine to use and you need to practice to get good coffee but when you do it's great. If you want simple no fuss coffee, get a pod machine. If you want to enjoy the process of making great coffee this is a great middle ground between massive expense (yes, even more expensive machines out there) and usability. My wife and kids can make good coffee with the machine.
BTW, don't go to the supermarket and get ground coffee (or even super market beans) and expect it to produce good coffee. It just won't. You need fresh beans, available everywhere on subscription.

Love my Barista Express!!
I have owned my Barista Express now for nearly two years. Never had any problems, yes you have to 'get to know it' and adjust the grind, quantities etc. to get the very best results. Also (obvious I know) you need good quality coffee, FRESHLY roasted (no name but there is a very good supplier in Duke Street, London which my family have used for three generations!). My machine is used a lot and is a pleasure to use every time, I have never regretted buying it and would thoroughly recommend it. I live in Spain and my coffee is amongst the best in a region where coffee is understood and appreciated.

Quite expensive but totally worth it.
After owning some smaller machines, both pod/capsule and "loose cofee" machines, I decided to buy a Sage Barista Express.
I read a lot of reviews first as it was quite an expensive purchase for me, but as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.
It requires more work than simpler machines but it's well worth the extra effort and there are loads of great online guides on how to get the best out of it.
I now buy a fresh bag of beans from a local place once a week and I'm enjoying the best coffee I've ever tasted.
I also love the fact that you can buy virtually every part of this machine separately if anything wears out.
To sum up: Quite expensive but worth every penny.
