Love the smart watch
I love this smart watch. I need smart watch for track my steps and see the notifications. I have small baby so my phone is many times on muted sound or is somewhere in the changing bag,so I missed lots of calls. Now I get the notifications on my watch ,so is not anymore problem when my phone is in the bag, because the notifications show me all phone calls and messages. You can see notifications from WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram. You can make quick responsed and that is very helpful...there are everything what I need

Step counter and heart rate monitor/Not performanc
This watch looks lovely and is very lightweight however it's not a performance watch as Samsung says. It does count the step and monitor heart rate ( didn't have a problem comparing to the other user) but for the price I'm disappointed it doesn't have GPS built in. It's massively inaccurate in terms of distance. As I am a runner and run with Strava and( I trust
Strava) this watch counts massively less distance. For example on the whole length of 10K From Strava this watch shows around 7km!! On the distance 20km Strzva this watch shows 15km!!!! Shocking isn't it??! Also I noticed that often when I work on my laptop and type it says I'm cycling!!! This happened recently when I was driving!!! So if you are looking for performance watch do not buy this as you will be disappointed!. Yes it is a smart watch. Works well in terms of calls coming and notifications.

Inconsistent fitness band
I bought this hoping for it to be a replacement for another branded fitness tracker due to it obviously having compatibility with the Samsung Health app. I wanted to be able to track specific favourite workouts like Skipping Rope and Aerobics without having to choose "Free workout" as standard.
That part of the band seemed great. I liked the features of setting up 10 favourite workouts and the quick start favourite workout with the button press. The screen was nice to look at although watch faces could've had more variety - maybe they would come with updates in the future. The band was nice and light and very comfortable, I barely realised I had it on.
This is where the good parts end for me.
This fitness tracker vastly underestimates my calorie burn for even the simplest of workouts, such as walking, to the point I would burn more if I was asleep(!)
The heart rate monitor was pretty much useless. I have a resting heart rate of around 56 - 62 bpm and upon looking at this I saw it was regularly way above that. Sometimes over 100 just sitting down for half an hour. I compared it to the other brand I used on the other wrist simultaneously, I also took it manually, and used my Samsung Health app with the finger bpm monitor. These all varied so slightly but around the same except for the Samsung Galaxy Fit.
I couldn't recommend this based on these points.
I am so disappointed I had to return for a refund - I love the S Health app and wanted to use it with the calorie calculator and exercise options - but I will stick with the standard tracker I have that works instead.

Lets you down when you need it most
Purchased this item for my partner, as she liked the sleek design as its a lot less bulky on a female wrist than a watch.
Seems like we have to RESET it every day before use to enable it to correctly sync with her Samsung phone when taking workouts.
She is recovering from having a serious health illness and we purchased this to both encourage her and also track her improvement.
Sometimes the gear fit auto tracks her walking workouts, sometimes it doesn't AND then when you are watching it set off and start recording the workout, when you finish it will not sync with the samsung health app to record your progress
On 4 separate occasions whilst walking we ensured that the gear fit was working and keeping progress and it failed to sync at the end with her S10 lite.
The next time you use it it will sync and record workout, so it seems to be hit and miss and VERY unreliable

Not synchronising with my phone.
I've had the galaxy fit watch for 2 weeks.
It has suddenly stopped synchronising with the fit app, it keeps crashing and saying it can't synchronise with my watch.
I don't know why this has happened.
It was working fine before.
If I can't fix the problem I will be returning the watch.
