A poor experience from a bad laptop
I love everything Samsung, but this is a real shame. I'll be the first to say I received this for free with a new phone, but I'd be horrified if I'd paid anything for it. The device is slow, the screen is blurry and low resolution, and the track pad very hit and miss.
I could definitely put up with all that, given it's free, but I've hardly used it and the battery has failed already. I've restarted, hard-restarted, removed the battery and followed all online advice and it's bricked. I sadly wouldn't pay for a new battery given how poor the device is when working. I would recommend paying a little more for literally anything else - even a tablet.

Joke of a device
This is the second time I got one with a phone contract and nothing has changed. It still has obsolete technology - it’s very slow, has minimum RAM and almost no storage. The display is also obsolete with laughable resolution. It’s not a laptop replacement and since you’re using mobile apps, you’d be better off with a tablet. I’d presume the only reason for a Chromebook is to make you use the Chrome and lock you into Google cloud environment.
On the positive side, it’s affordable (when thrown in for free). Definitely not worth the full price - you can get a lighting fast iPad Mini for the same money. Perhaps it’s good for a school kid to work on documents in Google Drive. Definitely perfect for a non-technical boomer browsing the internet and checking their email. That’s all.

Cannot reccomend
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this as a free extra with my Phone contract and I cannot recommend it. the screen is small and poor resolutions, the trackpad is tetchy and hard to use. and worse of all but forces you to use google products. my adblock suddenly stopped working, I couldn't use my VPN. it came preloaded with a bunch of apps I don't want or use with no way to uninstall them, including an annoying AI assistant. the only way to download apps is via the google play store which downloads them as the mobile versions. which means they are in Mobile phone screen resolutions and are designed to function with touch screen functionality a feature the device does not have.
it seems very clearly designed to Make the user interact more with google and samsung products rather than rather than provide a useful and customisable computer
other nit-picks for some reason the ability to right click was disabled by default, and new windows open in a small window and clicking on the icon in the top right that on every other OS would make the window full screen instead keeps it the same size and pits it in the bottom right corner
Again I got this as a tie in with a phone contract and I felt ripped off

Waste of money
Brand new and mouse pad constantly does not work and information to help "fix" the problem does not work or exist. But more importantly can't get to the place to fix it as the mouse pad doesn't work!

best laptop i ever owned
it is the best laptop i have ever had the battery lasts all day and it uses the same charger as my phone which makes life so much easier and the laptop is so lite and all my accessories work fine with chrome os.

Great for everyone
I just spilled some coffee ( a lot of coffee actually) on my chrome and I thought “ that’s it, it’s done” but for my surprised the laptop it’s working perfectly!! Like nothing happened.. other than that.. excellent tool for work and making your daily routine better and easy!! Highly recommended!!!
