Not recommended!
I do not recommend this watch.
Bought my son's first Xplora X6 in July 23. This was lost due to an issue with the strap being defective and it fell off while he was wearing it.
We replaced the watch in July 24. The replacement watch fell off a table (not from height) and the screen was severely cracked making it completely unusable.
It's a DISGRACE that Xplora themselves don't offer any screen replacement or repair options.
The Xplora watch is not robust enough to withstand minor falls and it is too high a price for it to be effectively disposable and for parents to be constantly replacing.
Buyers should be aware that these cannot be repaired if broken!

I am very disappointed by this product. It is very expensive and doesn't work well. For a start, location data is very erratic and doesn't seem to work well, for example when the child is indoor. We are constantly trying to refresh the App to see his location and location history and most of the time, the current location doesn't update. At times, even the Location History didn't update for hours. We are also having huge difficulties with the messaging feature. For some reason, some text messages that we send him never arrive, while others do. As a result, we can never be 100% sure that he has received our messages, which makes the product pointless. The watch should be easy to navigate, but it struggles at times to update the messaging screen. Altogether, I regret buying this and should have bought a cheap phone instead.

Avoid!
I wouldn't recommend this watch. My son's watch fell off a low table and the screen was badly cracked.
In my opinion the X6 watch is not robust enough to withstand minor falls and it is too high a price point for it to be disposable and for parents to be constantly replacing.
This is my second issue with the X6 watch. The first watch was lost due to a defective strap that caused the watch to fall off and my son was unaware.
It's a DISGRACE that Xplora themselves don't offer any screen replacement or repair service.

Good product once set up.
Took a long time to set up as it would not activate. But a quick google search showed me that i needed to connect watch to wifi. Clearer instructions would help. Works well now. Otherwise good product. Call quality is great and gps is reasonably good for what it is.

Ok
It doesn't have video calls which was disappointing and also GPS tracking is not very accurate. Also didn't like that child can only send pre-installed messages and cannot write their own. Everything else I was happy with.

Excellent watch
Excellent watch, anyone with kids know that they crave a bit more freedom as the summer months come in. This watch also has school mode so it looses smart function for times that you can pre save. The tracker works really well, you can set safe zones and if they step out of the safe zone u get an alert. Highly recommended for kids 8 /9 and over. It’s worked really well for us

Peace of mind, but quite expensive
Primarily, it's great to know that our child can contact us at any time, especially as he is becoming more independent now. And obviously vice versa (though we've been independent for quite some time now). The GPS isn't great and constantly reports an error when I try and update it on the phone, and for that and due to the high price, I rate it at 4 stars, not 5.

Excellent support from staff at HN
I bought another SIM card watch from HN before Christmas which was crap but I emailed HN over the Christmas period and they were absolutely amazing! Immediately responded, took back the watch by sending a courier to collect it, then sent me the Xplora watch! Amazing service so thank you
