Excellent Value
We needed something to replace the non-functioning DVD player of our home cinema system, except that, as we had upgraded our TV we no longer needed the home cinema system, therefore we chose this little beauty. It's tiny and very lightweight, but, don't be deceived by that - the quality is excellent. We have an extensive collection of DVDs from all over the world and therefore wanted something that played all regions and was good value for the money. It works out of the box, with virtually nothing to set up - well, OK, take one HDMI cable and connect the DVD player to the TV and that's it! Also it's very nice to deal with a British company.

Incredible!
I have wanted a DVD player for ages. I have a lot of DVDs in storage. The Majority DVD player is highly impressive. Firstly, I'm impressed by the size. It's more compact than other DVD players I've seen. This fits neatly on the shelf under the television. The set up for the DVD player is easy and it took just minutes to work out the remote and operating it. The picture is high quality and it plays no problem. This is so impressive that my teenage daughter now wants one too. If you are looking for a DVD player that is simple to use, is a good price and gives high quality picture - I highly recommend this. This is everything I wanted and more.

Works Like It Should!
My last DVD player seemed to often freeze during playback and would not respond to commands, even with discs in perfect condition. The Majority DVD player must have a better-aligned laser, as it is playing those same discs without an issue. I needed component”rather than composite or HDMI”ports, which is why I chose the Majority player. It has all three types of inputs! My comparable Sony is now junk, and the Sonys I gave as gifts are junk as well. The buttons are in slightly awkward positions on the remote, but that's a small inconvenience. Three year warranty and planting a tree as well? Who does that? Very happy customer in Arizona, USA.

Review of Majority DVD player
As a 68 old - I'm always very apprehensive at the thought of setting up and initially using a new piece of technology - thankfully notwithstanding that there was supposed to be no HDMI cable or instructions in the box - they were in fact both in the box.
Plugged the electric cable into the wall - connected the HDMI cable to the TV - opted for AV3 as being a likely output option on the TV and was immediately greeted by the Majority screen - what a relief/fluke.
Opened the DVD tray - stuck a DVD in - closed it again - pressed play - off the DVD went and the film started playing.
So all in all a very happy experience - recommended

Great little player!
I just purchased this DVD player as we have discs from around the world after working overseas, and for the money (still can't actually believe how well-priced it was!) it is truly excellent. Easy to set up with our existing HD TV, streaming/TIVO box, and sound system, and other than two AAA batteries everything needed was in the box. Picture quality on installation was very nice indeed (1080), and now it's hooked up to the sound system we're looking forward to catching up on all the movies and series we have in our collection and haven't been able to watch for a while... thanks MAJORITY, a great little product, and it doesn't take up too much space either!

Good little player let down by badly designed remote control
Player does everything it should and is very compact, exactly what I required. However I did not expect a mini sized remote. On previous players the Play/Pause, and stop buttons are larger than the remainder and easy to find, especuially in a darkened room watching a film. In this case they are buried in the 12 small buttons and diffficult to locate especialy in low light. . There are large buttons but these are assigned to occasional use tasks such as subtitle, title return etc surely it could have been the other way round as play/pause is probably the most used button. I also find the reception angle of the receiver very narrow, the control need pointing exactly at the box or no response.

Practical, no nonsense, all regions DVD and CD player
This Majority DVD player does exactly what it's supposed to. It plays DVD's from all regions. I found the picture and sound quality to be pretty good. The product is easy to set up (5 minutes in my case), and makes a fine addition for collectors of DVD's at a time when many of those you want in the UK are only available in Region 1 format. The product cost is reasonable and it has a 3-year extended warranty. It also plays CD's but without any album menu. Although I have only recently purchased this product, I would recommend it based upon my experiences so far.

MAJORITY MULTI REGION DVD PLAYER
Bought this having purchased boxed sets of a tv series which although supposed to be region free were a problem to load and play on my tv/dvd combo. This player has allowed me to load and play the discs with no problems once I had it set up which was fairy simple. I have found that when using the remote I need to be facing the front of the unit as the angle of the sensor is not very wide but if you're sitting off to one side to view the thats not ideal anyway. Very happy with the unit (forget trying to hack your dvd player to become multi region it's not worth the effort) well worth the money and for me I can replace my tv/dvd combo with any tv which doesn't have a built in dvd. My dvd player did have a HDMI cable included.
