Can I wear these in the shower?

How do I turn the volume up and down? Swiping the right bud up and down doesn't work, it just pauses and restarts. It is a brand new bud.

I have slightly sticky out ears and the left earphone wobbles a bit when I run. Is there any way to stop this happening?
