What no manual
Great Product. Pity the manual is only 4 pages long. Loads of features but have no clue as to how to use them. I'm 73 and need a 10 year old to show me how to use it. Confused, you bet I am because the language used makes no sense to me. Pretty ..... mad of really but maybe over time as my grandchildren come to stay I may move forward step by step. It keeps asking for passwords, what OAP remembers ...... passwords. Thank god I have them all written down, just hope I have updated the information. As to recommending to a friend it depends how tech savvy they are as both my previous Bravias are a doddle but 15 years old now hence the replacement.

Slow and cumbersome
Maybe this is because this is my first andriod based product but I find the interface cumbersome to use. The TV takes quite a long tome to start up. The apps are not that easy to navigate. Organising the satalite tv channels is hugely time-consuming and has had to be done twice already. I am never going to finish doing that. The remote control is not easy to read. eg the Info button is very hard to find, and does not work as expected if you press twice for more detail. Picture is OK but could be sharper or brighter - can't work out just why it is not pleasing.

Disappointed Sony owner
I cannot believe that this is a Sony TV, I have a KDL-40W2000 which has been a brilliant set which I bought in 2006. It is far better in many respects apart from the teletex storage.
The KC-32W800 is slow in response times has a poor EPG which is slow and I cannot get the teletext to work.

Good for a 32 inch television
We've had this TV for a few weeks and it's proving to be a good purchase. The build and design are excellent and installation is very easy. The feet give it a very stable base.
Picture quality is good with excellent colour, and for such a small TV it has very good sound with plenty of adjustment.
However, we found that some text was too small and there is overuse of greyed-out areas such as on the EPG. The guide would benefit from having a grid which would help to distinguish individual programs and times. Also, the handset buttons are generally too small for our liking.
A very good TV but it has the same problem that all modern TVs have: no Teletext!

Quality TV with much to offer
Perfect television for the smaller room having a 32" screen. I have connected to Freeview and the internet by cable and the screen image quality is great, even though it is only rated HD ready. Sound is pretty good, but adding a soundbar or sound system makes all the difference, especially when watching movies. Even when sitting relatively close there are no issues with screen clarity and the colour is great with a wide range of options to suit your own visual preferences. The tv wall mounted no problem, not particularly heavy but make sure your wall fittings are solid. For me its a great television so very happy to recommend it.

Generally great but.........
Very few things to say about this TV, as generally it is excellent. Be aware though that if you have a hard drive with films / videos on that you want to plug into one of the USB port and watch on this TV, you may well run into problems. Only hard drives formatted in a very specific way will be recognised by the TV and if you are looking for help on the Sony website forum you will find very little. I only solved the problem by trial and error and I would really recommend that Sony look into this problem and provide some clear instructions on how you get external drives with content already on them to work with this TV. But apart from that - it's a great TV.

Appalling operating system; hateful product
I have only ever bought Sony TVs in the past. This replaces a previous TV. The picture and sound are fine. The labyrinthine Google/Android software is appalling. There is no user manual; the online alleged manuals don't help. The Sony online 'help' pages are out of date or irrelevant for this model and give incorrect information. I will consider other TV brands from now on.

Bit Disappointed
I am not that pleased with the TV as it keeps saying it needs to be reset. The TV engineer set it up for me. It continually says certain channels are not available when they have been previously. The TV engineer says it has to be permanently on stand by. I do not trust it not to catch fire so I have to switch it off and unplug it every time I leave the house. I cannot use the smart part of it as I have no internet or broadband to my house. The last Sony TV only lasted 5 years and I am not impressed with that. They should last much longer and be repairable as this throw away attitude is bad for the environment.
