A Quality Portable CD Player
A nice compact and stylish design with a very pleasant, clear sound from the CD player and analogue radio (FM/AM). It has a sturdy plastic case and the CD player is easy to use. However, the digital tuning display on the radio is very sensitive compared with a traditional analogue rotary dial, particularly on FM and so you may need to know the exact frequency of the station to make tuning easier. Unfortunately, the analogue radio does not include a ‘Long-Wave’ setting to receive Radio 4 on 198 kHz (unlike my older model – CD9959), so those who may live, work or travel in FM deprived parts of the UK, at sea and even beyond our shores, may not be able to receive a reliable radio signal from this product. For example, Long-Wave has always been the transmission band of choice for listening to the Shipping Forecast, because of the unique ability of long radio waves to travel very large distances without disruption. However, overall this is perhaps predominantly purchased as a ‘portable’ CD player (when using batteries) and deserves a quality 4-star rating.

AN EXCELLENT “WORKHORSE”!
Pleased with the sound quality, particularly with headphones. An excellent player, very portable with batteries, and sturdy. I particularly like the non- digital radio-tuning facility. Call me old- fashioned! ( and no Bluetooth to worry about… ).This must be the leader in small boomboxes and fits my bill for playing classical CDs perfectly.

My latest audio purchase is great!
I looked for a small portable or personal cd player for some time before finding the Zoombox FM. I am very pleased its size and quality as this enables me to listen to audiobooks in my bedroom and, being white, it fits in perfectly with my decor. I will also be able to listen to my extensive music cd collection anywhere in the house or garden. I cannot comment on the radio function as this has yet to be tried.

Light & portable, looks good, good quality sound
I wanted something simple to play CDs for my elderly mother. This does the job! Good sound. Easy to use although it’s quite difficult to remove the CD from the CD compartment - very little space to get hold of the CD to remove it.

Quality Zoom box by Roberts
The Robert’s Zoom Box didn’t disappoint. Easy to operate. Neat design. The quality one expects from a Robert's product. Don’t expect huge volume from a small piece of equipment, best in a small room.
