You've hit the bedside clock radio target bullseye
Roberts, you've a hit on your hands with this! There's not a single thing I can fault. Its good looks are perfectly on-brand... mine is just lovely in black leather with gold accents. I was not expecting such a high calibre radio - it's got a full on sound (and a choice of EQ / my EQ settings) like a much bigger thing: the design is brilliant with the up-firing tweeter giving clarity and the rear speaker rich volume and tone. Of course I bought it for the extra clear, large readout of time - and every display aspect is perfect. It auto dims when the room darkens / lights go out, but there's a simple override brightness button on top. It's a great idea to use your popular design in this format! It's so very much better than I'd expected - Bluetooth on all afternoon today as a main sound source, marvellous - and it has the charm of the Petite (but it's much more practical and powerful). Well done! More colours now!

Traditional look, lovely feel and great sound
Wonderful little radio. compact and sturdy, clever design that will be unlikely to fall over if knocked. and nice feel and look to it. Great sound and choice of functions. Only one thing I would like is ability to charge an internal battery so can place away from socket.
Bought it for my father but now tempted to get one for myself!
Also cannot fault the delivery speed and service from Roberts, easy to order on their website and it came the next day!

Brilliant radio alarm clock
I love this radio! It has everything I need. The Bluetooth is great and the speaker is loud enough for my room. It’s got a retro look which I love. My daughter now wants one too.

Fantastic in all areas!
This is my first DAB+ Radio. Previous Roberts Radio about 20 years old and still sounds and looks great. I wanted a compact radio for my bedside, and this is very compact. How something so small can sound so great is amazing! My Bose headphones sounds great too. Very easy to set up and use, and the bluetooth works fine with my iPhone, and also charges the iPhone. The display is large and clear and dims automatically or manually. Good design, and the leather gives it that Roberts quality. Well done Roberts!

Power Adapter makes some noise
The power adaptor crackles and makes noise. The socket is next to the bed, so the radio alarm clock is not useable. I had to laugh when I checked this, because the elegant device itself works fine. Is there a way to replace this power adaptor?

Bedside clock
Overall I am happy with the radio as a bedside radio. I like the display, showing the time, and other information below.
A couple of minor points.
The display can appear blanked in the evening as the Auto light dimmer has over dimmed the display.
Due to its size, this has resulted in a small speaker which at times can be tinny. As a bedside clock, the display is important. It would be nice with a larger speaker.
