How do you improve an already great design?
I already have a gen.1 petite which I am very happy with but, as I travel quite a lot, my wife thought I should have a radio with an alarm built in. The petite 2 fits this requirement perfectly. Excellent sound quality as always coupled with a humane alarm (soft start). I even like the colour too - duck egg blue although I am Roberts traditionalist by instinct (royal blue with gold trim). Updating the charging port to the now standard USB C is also helpful as I only need to carry one charger. Disappointing the matching canvas carry bag is currently unavailable.

Great radio but small screen
I love the dinky size and superb sound quality of this radio. The only two things that would make it a full 5 stars, is a bigger font on the screen and a react to light main time display ie turns down at night and up during the day.

Super little portable radio - exactly as described
Super sound/tone for such a small unit and very easy to operate. As the battery holds its charge for a long time there's no need to continually have it plugged in which makes it truly portable. The Bluetooth option is a plus as I can stream music from my iPhone. This is helpful when travelling as it negates the necessity of carrying a separate bluetooth speaker. I am loving using it and can't wait to head off on hols with it. Roberts sales service is excellent - was able to get pre-purchase from an assistant and delivery was really quick.

Beautiful radio that makes you feel nostalgic
Great product! The radio has a nice retro design and is very compact. It can be carried to the park or used as an alarm clock in the bed room, which is what I do. All functions are working as advertised. The sound quality is decent considering the size. Had some issues with the alarm function in the beginning because the radio was not plugged into a power outlet, but everything is working now.

WOW!
What a cute little radio and WOW it certainly does perform. The sound is rich ( I hate tinny sound) the size is small (we needed small as it is for the campervan) and the tuning is fab, so many stations even when surrounded by trees, caravans and campervans in a campsite.
An awesome radio. We also love the sleep timer. Haven’t used the alarm yet.

A lot in a small package
An improvement on an already neat product with the extendable aerial and usb-c now added. Functions pretty simple to use with the easy start guide. Decent sound from a small enclosure enhances this very portable device and the Bluetooth facility is a great touch. I guess adding smart function will be the next step?

💕Loving my wee radio 💕
I am so happy with this gorgeous wee radio and love its retro style. It’s sturdily built and feels good quality. The sound is well-rounded and it has lots of different functions behind that central button. Recommend.
