Great little portable speaker
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have upgraded from the mini sound link. Sound wise it sounds great. Has the typical bose sound with a lean towards a more bass heavy profile. This can be adjusted if needed.
It lost a star as at high volumes it loses some bass and I wish it had a slightly better range. Bass could hit harder for what I listen to. (Mostly dnb and trance)
It charges quick and seems to last forever. It's mostly being used in the kitchen and in the garden.
Charge via USB c. Super easy to set up. App is very user friendly. Love the material too. Has like a rubber matt finish so it dosent slide about.

Out of this world its amazing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this about a 5 to 6 weeks ago and it is amazing me my partner or my kids use it daily it's amazing my mum wants o e and so does my uncle everyone who hears it can't believe the sound output this little speaker puts out I love loud music ❤️ and this is just right for when cleaning gardening it's also amazing for camping and bbqs but obviously can't have it blasting as you can't hear people speak haha.
All the family loves it. Everyone who meets it loves and wants one too.
Bose never disappoints.

Absolutely perfect sound
I bought this speaker and the sound from it is literally like magic in the form of sound travelling through the air and landing in my eardrums. It’s very impressive sounding and is absolutely flawless. It is as loud as you would ever need and would fill a massive room. I never even play it as loud as it would go as you would never need it that loud but the fact that it’s portable and you can take dj quality sound everywhere you go. Absolutely blown me off my feet. I went to the store to purchase and compared it to other speakers which were more expensive and it sounded blatantly much better. It’s the most clearest sounding speaker I have ever heard in my life. Great sound and great battery
Bought over a month ago, very happy with the sound quality, great bass but not too much, and good mids and highs. Much better than other competitors who focus too much on muddy bass. What’s impressive is that the speaker itself at full volume, doesn’t seem super loud when you’re stood next to it. Don’t get me wrong it’s still loud, but what’s most impressive is that it seems to throw the sound so far. It fills a room with sound without sounding loud, and outside it throws the sound to the other side of my garden with ease. Only slight issue is that when stored the batttery does seem to slowly deplete itself but not anything to be concerned about really.

Small Speaker, BIG Sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using my BOSE SoundLink Max for a few weeks now. Safe to say, I am very happy with the speaker - I'm impressed by the overall quality of the product and the incredible sound it produces.
The speaker has a small form factor - virtually the same size as a 4 Pint bottle of milk (in UK market). It is quite heavy, which does make me question how comfortable it would be to carry long distances by hand. However, the integrated handle is very comfortable, feels well-made and the weight of the speaker and materials give it a high-quality feel.
The speaker comes with a charging cable (USB-C to USB-C), but not the power brick to plug it into a plug socket. This was a little disappointing, as I did not have a power brick already to use with this type of cable, but once I bought one it was quick and easy to charge. The battery life is also great. I have had the product for a couple of weeks now, and with daily use I have only needed to charge it twice in that time. A full charge really does last a long time.
Now on to the important part - the sound. My expectations have been well and truly surpassed with this speaker. It produces such a deep, rich bass for such a small device. It really THUMPS and I'm always surprised at the the depth of bass it produces - which is nicely balanced with the clarity of the treble. I've tried the speaker with several different types and genres of music - all of which sound fantastic.
Although I had intended to use this speaker mostly outdoors / in the garden / picnics in the park (which it works beautifully for), I have found myself using it mostly indoors. It's great to use to enjoy my music whilst cooking, cleaning, working out etc. The portability of it makes it so easy to bring the tunes to any and every room in the house. It works great in the bathroom whilst I take a relaxing bath or a disco shower. It just fills the room with sound.
Overall, I am super happy with this product. The quality of the sound, the portability and even the battery life are all outstanding. I would recommend to anyone in the market for a small bluetooth speaker for indoor/outdoor use!

Great Bose sound and durable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great speaker from a sound perspective - offering the great sound quality that I have come to expect from Bose, having used both their on-ear and in-ear products for many years. The speaker is very durable with a solid-feeling shell and sturdy handle for travel. The only drawback with this durability is that the speaker is very heavy for a portable product - I wouldn't want to walk a long way carrying it! Great for garden parties, bbq's and park trips that don't require a long walk!

Fantastically portable quality sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a fan of the quality products produced by Bose for the past 15 years and this new addition absolutely lives up to the name.
For years I have used the original SoundLink Mini for some music at small friends & family gatherings and it has worked a treat. The Max, however, is a cut above - it can produce a much louder sound maintaining the clarity but providing a nice bass.
I have taken it to a family BBQ, and it impressed all with its amazing sound in a surprisingly small size. Don't get me wrong, this is big for a Bluetooth speaker, but the comfortable carrying handle makes it perfectly portable. (However, the handle is removable if you're so inclined.) I am looking forward to using it in the garden with friends over the summer.
The speaker is largely covered in a rubbery coating which prevent it from slipping about on a smooth surface but can be a bit of a magnet for dust/crumbs.
The Bose app makes it easy to connect to and set up - you can play around with the EQ to your liking - I was listening to a podcast and the host's voice was a bit to bassy but that was easily fixed in the app - an area for improvement would be some more/customisable EQ pre-sets.
The app also indicates battery life - I haven't fully tested it, but the life has been plenty for my sessions so far. My phones battery is a different story but there is the fantastic feature of being able to use the speaker as a charger. The USB-C port and included USB-C to USB-C cable can be used for both charging and using the SoundLink Max as a charger for another device.
The aux port is a nice touch to increase the connection options, but I haven't had much need for it with the excellent Bluetooth range.
The price may feel a little high for a Bluetooth speaker but, from years of experience with Bose products, I feel assured that the quality will last for a very long time making it great value. If you find yourself out and about with the need for some music with friends, I would highly the SoundLink Max.
