Good close shave but awkward to use
I’ve been using the same Philips Speed XL for around 15 years. Its curvy shape makes it easy to use and the rounded shaver heads get close to my nose and upper lip. The shave was ok but it was time for a change.
I purchased the S7766 but immediately regretted it due to the physical design in the hand. The straight, long body is much larger than the Speed XL, feels unbalanced and makes shaving awkward. The five sided shaving head makes it difficult to get close enough to my nose / upper lip.
However it does give a good overall shave and is very easy to clean. Overall I wish I’d purchased a Series 6 shaver, which is closer in design to the Speed XL.

The product is amazing but expensive!

INCLUSION:
The package includes an electric shaver, a Pop-up trimmer which is handy, a cleaning pod that cleans & lubricates the shaver for 1 minute. It also has a charging stand that keeps it always on and ready to use. A travel case which is handy for on the go. Lastly, there is an App that can be downloaded at iOS or Android. This gives tips, guides on how to use the product and gives updates as well.
There are both pros and cons to this electric shaver which I have listed below. Nevertheless, I would recommend it to those who can afford to purchase as I think this is one of the best products of Philips.

Not too bad but cheap make.
I have an arcitec RQ1050 model that I bought 12 years ago, it has to be the best make that Philips have ever made. I change the shaving heads every few years but the battery is still as good as day one. I also own a Series 5000 model which is also good. I bought a 7000 Series Skin IQ model recently as I thought it would be a great shaver, but alas it was not to be. Cheaply made with a poor grip compared to the older models and the pop up trimmer is an absolute joke, but it does shave reasonably well (even 5 day stubble). Please bring back the arcitec models

Very impressed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got it for my husband, he usually use electric shaver during the week and manual razor after weekend. He doesn't shave during the weekend his old shaver was not doing the job with 2-3 days beard.
He give it a go and was very surprised that it mannaged to shave 3 days old hair.
His skin is very delicate and this shaver did not leave skin irritated. It works perfectly for wet and dry shave. Flexi head makes it to reach all hair with one go.
It is charging very quickly.
Shave takes couple of minutes and after 3 shaves battery still shows more than a half.
Cleaning kit provided works really good and shaver comes completely clean afterward.
The only minus of it is a trimmer it doesn't catch sideburns.
In overall very good product and like my husband said best electric shaver he ever used.

Takes time & effort to achieve a smooth finish
I wanted to use this shaver when I didn't have the time or facilities to do a wet shave. Unfortunately, it seems to require a lot of time and more effort to achieve a reasonably smooth finish. It also seems to cause a slight rash from all the work required.
The app does give shaving guidance and tries to improve technique but moving in small circles did not seem to improve performance, it just required more time and effort.
It may be because I have not used an electric shaver for some time and I'm not used to the three shaving heads, but it should be fairly easy to get a smooth finish or it's not an improvement. I will look to practice more to see if things improve, but at the moment, I'm not impressed.

Nice looking shaver.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First impression, nice looking shaver with large rotary blades although, because of the design, I think that they appear larger than they actually are.
I downloaded the app and began shaving, it took me 3 attempts before I started to shave in a circular motion. I have been using a foil shaver for many years. The app gives a score for correctness of shaving. Once I obtained an acceptable score I stopped using the app.
I did get a smooth & close shave and the shaver was kind to my sensitive skin.
The battery lasts for a couple of weeks and charges speedily via a usb.
Comes with a travel case.

The shaver is perfect for men
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the shaver for about a month. The first shave was on dry because I have sensitive skin. I was positively surprised, the shaver, shaved me very precisely and without irritation. My 2nd shave was smoother by the application that helps in the correct shaving technique. So my previous technique of shaved was wrong. The head adapts perfectly to the contours of the face, so to which the shave is 100% more thorough with one stroke. I am a truck driver and the machine worked well in my job. Full charge was enough for 2 weeks. The shaver is waterproof and I can use it in the shower. The cleaning box with the liquid is perfect and quickly cleans shaver, which saves time. 6% of the battery was enough for one quick shave. I recommend the shaver because all its functions are 100% effective, it shaves better than the shavers I used before.

Updated review. Not Recommended
I’m updating my previous review of 12/10/21. Having now compared this razor with three other older Philips razors (The PT920 and the much older Williams racing team razor plus the 3 years old Philips 9000 razor.)
In like for like comparisons, using one of the four razors each day and using the exact same technique to shave over a 4 day period, I used my wife as a judge, this latest razor is the worse of all 4 razors.
Therefore I would not recommend this razor. Look elsewhere.
