blades far too expensive
with new blade i must admit the product is the best I've ever used. Battery life is amazing and i've never cut myself yet. Close enough shave and everything is groovy. Finally found something that does everything and does it well. Very happy with purchase with no complaints until the blade needed replacing after 3 weeks. I'm afraid thats a deal breaker for me as it makes it an unacceptable cost every 3 weeks. I've toned this review down considerably as Philips didn't publish my first one as it "contained inappropriate content" This probably won't get published either but i thought that was the point of reviews.

Brilliant product, ingenius design
The simplicity of the Oneblade design is quite ingenius, Phillips should win an award for this design.
I travel constantly so i need a shaver that's compact and simple, it's almost like a razor, but safer, easy to clean, this shaver ticks all the boxes and does exactly what it says on the packaging and with a reasonable price tag.
It shaves closely, not as close as a blade, but close enough. I've used it in hot and cold climates, it's quite brilliant.
I bought one for my father when i visited him in the UK. He's also very pleased with this shaver.
I've only been using it for 2 months, so have yet to experience how long the head lasts.

Simples Innit
Had to charge out of the box, that was a novelty in this day and age. Most things come with at least half a charge.
Went into bathroom and within Seconds had the mark of it. Did all the trimming first, found the length I (She) liked and wazzed over face, Done ! Then without protection, dragged head across face with the styling blades cutting ALL long stubble in its path, and some of the day growth. With another passing of the head over the stubble, slower this time and stretching the skin with fingers of free hand, the face was free of all signs of facial hair !
I then ran it over my head, as is my want, Head and Face sorted, less than 5mins.

Very good product!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used a One Blade before and I stood by the older version of the One Blade. I think this has the same benefits as the older version plus the ability to contours of your face. This is especially good for me as I have always have issues cleaning up under my chin/upper neck. The clipper attachment is actually really good as well. If you are using the different levels of the attachment on your beard like I do. You will have no issue with it blending. Overall it’s a great product to invest in as you will save money in a barber chair.

Excellent razor.
This is the best shaving product I have ever come across (soon be 65 and been shaving since 16).
Very effective and shaves growth from all angles - much better than wet shavers as I have to constantly change the direction with these. "These" include Brand leading products of many, many offerings over the years - including wet shaving with their best blades.
The Philips blades last a long time for me, several months so far for first one and still cutting close. I have somewhat fine beard growth but its also very strong.
I have to say that all my other shaving appliances, wet and dry, are now effectively redundant - they sit on the bathroom shelf. Sulking!

Great product BUT poor blades
At first glance and use, this seemed a really well designed and functional product and to be honest seemed to match the Philips description.
The issue I have is with the life span of the blades. Philips suggest up to 4 months based on 2 shaves per week. I had the shaver as a Xmas present and have shaved 3 times with the blade it came with. After the second shave, some of the blade mesh had come away and after the third, the blade started to go 'green' indicating the blade will need changing soon.
On this basis, the blade will do well to last 3 or 4 weeks (at most) as opposed to the 4 months suggested. At around £13 per blade, this makes the whole shaver fairly redundant.
Either Philips should improve the quality of the blades so that they last or reduce the price considerably

Beard trimmer and razor in one
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a man who had long since given up on close shaving due to rashes and ingrowing hair this shaver was a nice surprise. I like to keep a bit longer hair around the chin and a bit of shadow elsewhere which this can easily do the job using the supplied combs. A bit more choice on shorter lengths would have been nice but it works fine for me.
It also can get quite a close shave without the comb and without the trouble of rashes. This means I could finally get a closer shave around my neck again which was great.
Good product I'd recommend as a replacement for people like me who have trouble shaving and it can also handle a bit of beard styling as well.
