Do Ulike IPL hair removal devices work on pubic hair?

Do I have to shave before using Ulike IPL hair removal devices?
Yes, it is recommended to shave any hair longer than 2 mm in the treated area. This ensures the IPL light can target the hair root directly without being obstructed by surface hair. Failure to shave may result in a burning smell during treatment caused by the IPL light burning surface hair stubble or residue instead of reaching the hair follicles. Use shaving alone to prepare the skin, as other methods remove the hair root and may reduce the treatment's effectiveness.
How many times a week should I use Ulike IPL devices?
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technology targets hair follicles during their anagen (growth) phase. Hairs in the same body area might not be in this phase simultaneously. In order to ensure each hair follicle is treated at least once during its active growth phase, we recommend a 12-week cycle: start with 3 treatments per week for 4 weeks, then switch to maintenance sessions once or twice a month. Additionally, tailor your treatment frequency to your hair growth patterns. For areas with thicker hair or stubborn growth, adjust the power level and frequency as needed. Always monitor your skin's response and make adjustments to prevent discomfort.
