Very disappointed - hard to clean and makes thin waffles
I’m very disappointed with this product. This waffle machine has major design flaws. Firstly, the plates don’t come off, making it very difficult to clean as you can’t let the machine get wet. Secondly, the upper part pressures the batter down too heavily, not giving space for it to rise and spreading it out of the plates. The outer ring is very useful in this case to collect the batter.
On the other hand, the non-stick properties are excellent and the machine cooks the waffle to perfection, albeit very thin.
I would not recommend it.

Good, but could be a little better.
Bought today & used once, so far. Waffles came out nice, but not as thick & fluffy as I expected. There's a recipe book with 4 waffle types - classic, Belgian, buttermilk or chocolate. I made the recipe for classic, which makes loads of batter, don't know what I'll do with it all! I poured batter onto waffle maker, it all puffed up and spilled down sides of machine, big clean up. There's a moat to collect excess, but it still overflowed. This was more my mistake, so go slow and steady with batter pouring! There's a darkness setting from 1-6, I set it to 5 and waffles came out a bit overdone, very dark & crispy. The excess from the moat was really nice though. I'll try 3 next time. machine takes about 4 mins to heat up and 6 mins to cook. It's pricey, so I wanted thick, fluffy waffles, so not entirely happy, but will try again at a different setting.

Waffly Stylish
I have wanted a waffle maker for ages as I'm a vegan and most shop bought waffles are not. I chose Sage because it is compact, stylish and makes really good vegan waffles.

Excellent Sage waffle maker
Excellent waffle maker far superior to another (cheaper) model I tried. Well worth the extra price. Waffles only take 4 minutes even on a high setting (5) and as there is a bleep when waffles are ready there is no need to keep on opening to check if they are ready. I find that using a small ice cream scoop does a great job of ladling the mix onto the machine. Even if I overfill the machine I place the extra mixture back on the machine for a few more minutes, so nothing gets wasted.

Great little machine, makes lovely waffles. cooked how you like them thanks to the temperature control. Takes a bit of practise to get the amount of batter correct, still managed to flood it the first time !! Easy to clean. Only downside, the waffles are a bit small.

I remember Christmas morning, opening up the box to the lovely waffle maker. Everyone lining up to get a taste of the waffles. All in all, it's very easy to use, reliability is great and it's definitely a great investment.

Worth every penny. Fantastic
Wow, can't believe I've managed so long without this in my life. Amazing for normal waffles light and fluffy and golden and I also use it for keto chaffles. Brilliant piece of kit. Worth every penny.
