You get what you pay for.
Having said that its good on space saving but you do have to screw it to a wall for saftey but i didnt because i have my books stored on it in a closet. Otherwise the wood does seem sturdy and if youre prepared to screw it into a wall and stand it somewhere out of the way it could make a good addition to your room.
