Mininor silicone nipples fit all bottles from Mininor. The nipples have an anti-colic air valve, which reduces the risk of air intake, which is more likely to cause discomfort in babies with colic. The baby can use its natural sucking technique without risk of damaging the breastfeeding.
At Mininor we support breastfeeding, but sometimes it might be necessary to use a bottle as a supplement or it might be preferred to bottle feed all together. Mothers who breastfeed their babies can experience a feeling of not being adequate if the breastfeeding is not working out. Our advice: it is better to have a happy mother who bottle feeds than a miserable mother who partly breastfeeds.
Mininor nipples are available in 5 sizes that fit all Mininor bottles: 0m, 3m, 6m, 9m and 9m+. These age-indications should be taken as a guide as babies with the same age might have different needs and capabilities. As a rule of thumb, if the baby can finish a meal in less than 10 minutes the hole is too big, and if the baby takes longer than 15 minutes to finish a meal the hole is too small.
The sizes 0m, 3m, 6m, and 9m have regular round holes. 9m+ has a cross-cut hole which makes it leak-proof and ideal for thicker liquids.
Clean the nipple in a mild detergent and rinse thoroughly. Sterilise in boiling water for a few minutes or steam sterilise in a steam steriliser made for this purpose.
Warning:
Always check nipples before each use. If a nipple has cracks or other damages it should be discarded. Do not use an abrasive agent to clean the nipple.
