Not impressed
I thougt this was a good buy until it began to not display social media (X) because (this phone does not support the media). It then froze the screen in a position that the unlock pattern was unavailable. It had 100% charge at this point, and couldn't be restarted until down to 94%, (i left the torch on for a some time). I then found that videos & pictures on watsapp were not supported. I then found, to great surprise, that the phone didn't support its own camera. I did another reset, which seems to have resolved these issues for now.
I have had samsung phones for some years now. All have been very satisfactory.

Not as advertised.
Phone returned as not suitable for two (known) reasons:-
i) Advertised as "dual sim and memory card", which is what I wanted but unfortunately not correct. Therefore your advert should state "dual sim OR one sim and memory card"! The limitation should be made clear.
ii) The icons appear to be rather 'childish' or 'juvenile' in appearance, unlike my old J4core, which I am completely happy with, albeit now showing signs of it's age.
All I require is a DIRECT replacement for my old J4core, which I am finding to be almost impossible.
Note: I am none of the suggested boxes in the below "What best describes you?".

I seem to be having a terrablr dxperiancd with my new Gzlaxy, A16
It stalls, having to pay fif Google 1 everyman, for extra storage & the Actual use of Gmzil.....
Yhe Hzndset, does heat up a little quicker then the S series.....
I like the Samsung galaxy updates, ie; Gemini, UI...... But it is Now near to impossible to recall widgets for, immediate use ie, WiFi/ flightmode/ Sync/ mobile Hot-spot & more.....
This has been, like this since last update. June2025........
Other then these issues, it is an ok phone with an averaged based camer-
i would not purchase again.... Unfortunately.

Great phone but with some irritations
In general the Samsung A16 is a great phone with good battery life between charges and large memory capacity, great camera with very crisp pictures and a good ergonomic design. even though the phone is in many aspect's really good there are a couple of irritating problems that i have encountered in the first month of usage such as the phone can be a little slow when opening apps etc and sometimes the screen will freeze and the functions not available or working to close down open screens and the phone need to be hard re-started to correct the problem. while these problems are a minor irritation they do spoil my overall use of the phone as i use it for both personal and business activities

I'm reviewing the Samsung Galaxy A16 because I think it deserves the credit
I previously had a S10 for year's and year's unfortunately it had ran its time..but luckily this phone is Brilliant 👏 Battery performance is very good and lasts me day's..the camera is much clearer and displays pic's amazing...as this has a bigger screen it's so much better!
I'm a loyal Samsung customer and won't ever be converted they are exactly what I wanted and more features than I need, and affordable, so all in all really happy with the A16

Awful
Awful phone worst phone ever used, Z Fold 2024 model was amazing Flip 3 2023 I believe was amazing I had to sell my fold to get a mate out of debt but doing so I have to get the low budget samsung I thought I'd get this and it's awful I work in care and use phone for work and training but it lags, crash and out right awful

Doesn't live up to the hype
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This phone can do little to nothing that the average Samsung can do. Most updates for Samsungs arent for this one. Just get this phone as a placeholder or back up. So many modern apps you cant install on this phone cause they refuse to update the quality of this phone.

Very happy with my choice ☺️
Bought the A16 as a replacement for my 3 1/2 year old Motorola phone. One of the main reasons for choosing it was the 5 year promise of Android updates. Very pleased with the phone which seems fast and the camera has more features than my old phone and appears to give very good results. Very impressed with the sensitivity of the touch screen and find the display very good. Battery lasts 2 days. Can't comment on gaming performance as don't use it for that. Hopefully it will last as long as my old phone and would seriously consider buying another Galaxy again.
