Does the job!
This is a great hob. I like the front double heating ring as I can put different sized saucepans on it. Heats everything well although it does take a bit of time to get used to the right setting but great once figured out! I had read one reviewer that says when they clean theirs it keeps switching on but I’ve not had any problems with it. I really like the touch controls so no grease getting stuck under knobs and it cleans really, really nicely to a lovely shine! I’m so pleased I have this hob and looks great in my new kitchen. Would definitely recommend it!

My new hob
Had to replace my old hob because of its age so I went for a more modern upgrade and I can honestly say I am very happy with my new hob.
Gone are the control knobs and the new one has the finger touch control and what an excellent upgrade so easy to control the temperature of each ring. Cleaning is also very easy when cold a wipe with a warm soapy cloth and a quick polish with a dry cloth and jobs all done. Very pleased with the hob from design to quality and the AEG
name give peace of mind in knowing you have bought a good quality product.

Intermittent shut off with food on hot area
Had the hob about 5-6 years from new, not bad until recently, keeps shutting off constantly whenever we put pots/pans on the rings, when we return to check the food, the hob has decided to switch itself off, have to switch off from isolator on wall and restart it, so frustrating and food does not cook properly.
Is this a common issue?
I would have recommended this product but find it hard to do so now, what is the life expectancy of this model hob?

Annoying flaws
This hob turns itself of while you are cooking and you can't turn that zone on again until it had cooled, so you have to swap to another zone..

Easy to use, Rings heat up quickly to give even heat distribution.

Neat and esy to use
We had to change from an induction to a ceramic hob, for medical reasons (Pacemaker).
We chose AEG because of its reputation and we have not been disappointed. It is neat but strongly made and like all 'glass hobs' it needs to be kept clean to avoid marking - but its design makes that very easy. The flexible, larger front hob is great for stir frying and other jobs needing a good spread of heat. The 'two' ring option is very useful.
It has taken time to get used to the slower heat-up (compared with our induction hob), but we are getting there and learning to use the residual heat as a 'keep warm' facility.
If allowed, we would still prefer an induction hob, but when medical reasons prevent that, this hob is a great substitute.
