Washing machines have to do more than the basics these days, and this is a machine to get in a spin about. The choice of settings is wide to include , for example, a useful duvet setting. This AEG calculates the weight of your load and adjusts settings such as time to fit. You can opt for Eco settings to reduce water use and the time a program takes: this helps because the standard settings can be a little lengthy, to be honest. I am just investigating the useful steam feature and so far work shirts are emerging needing less ironing, always a bonus. Finally, need a quiet machine? This AEG will surprise you with its low decibel count.

Perfect washing machine
I was a little hesitant after reading some reviews but needed to replace a Bosch and the new model was too big for the gap. This washing machine is perfect; whisper-quiet, looks great and matches beautifully with my dark grey gloss units, clothes are clean and fresh and it’s very easy to adjust washing times. I didn’t bother reading the instructions as never do and found it very easy to work out. For shorter wash times, you just need to press the time save button and this can be done more than once which gives a wash time of about an hour but still a perfect wash. I wash white and light clothes for longer. So pleased with the quality

This could be an excellent machine but quirks let it down
This machine has the ability to measure your load, unfortunately when using cotton mode if the machine is not full too capacity it will not spin every time and it is really frustrating as you have you do a further wash as the spin only function only spins at 1600 and this seems to be the problem. I purchased this machine for the ability to measure your load to reduce time and water etc., but it is costing more to run as you have to find a way to spin the clothes that won’t spin on the cotton setting!

A brilliant machine!
My first AEG washing machine which I’m delighted with ( I’ve always had Bosch).My house is very open plan & I wanted a machine that was reasonably quiet & this is very quiet- at first I checked to make sure it was still running! Features that I particularly like are: the ‘Time save’ option which reduces the length of wash considerably & the clothes still come out very clean: the 20min 3kg wash - really useful, choice if spin speed and the time delay. As yet, I’ve not tried the other options but so far I’m delighted with my machine. Should have bought one years ago! Thoroughly recommended!

Great washing machine
Very pleased with this washing machine. Very efficient, quiet and economical. The 20min wash at 30° is a great feature. Steam function after wash cycle does help with reducing creases. When machine on top spin 1600 it is so quiet. The machine automatically calculates the load of the wash before starting washing cycle reducing the risk of overloading, and poor washing results. The large aperture of door opening makes loading/unloading easier, as does the door opening further than my previous machine. Touch sensitive controls very sensitive however I have got used to them quickly.

New and Clean
I went for AEG, very efficient machine, as our previous AEG machine started to smell and whilst I got rid of most of the smell, there were still taints of the smell. I was interested in an A++ washing machine and an upgrade. Its an excellent machine and I will service and keep it clean from the word go. I've changed the way I wash to do as much as I can to keep the machine clean. The machine is still very clean and efficient, so early days. I have to get used to the touch enabled buttons, no need to press buttons just the heat of your finger will make changes. Highly recommended.

Built for 20 years of service
I bought an AEG washing machine in 1998 and it has lasted until now. It is still repairable as it’s only the door seal that is leaking but I decided to get a more efficient and modern machine to replace it. I opted for the most efficient machine available with a 30 minute quick wash function. I’m so pleased with the cleaning capabilities of the quick wash. I don’t usually have any heavily soiled items to wash so three quick washes each week at 30° is perfect for most of my needs. This machine will save me so much electricity that I’m sure it will pay for itself in a couple of years.
The build quality is first class and I fully expect it to last me until my demise.
It’s a good looking machine and the switches feel great too.
Highly recommended.

Awful
Poorly made plastic rubbish trading on a name from the 1990’s Not worth the money under any circumstances. There is an old AEG Tumble Dryer in the garage, that was really well made and lasted many years. I sent the washing machine and the tumble dryer back after 1 month. The tumble did not dry, apparently due to the fact they do not bother testing that the heating element is working in the factory as it takes too long. So a small number do not work after being installed and you get to call out the repair guy and if he happens to have the part it will be fixed there and then, if not, then a few days later…
