Excellent ergonomics, needs polish on software
The XBOX ROG Ally X (really the Ally X 2) is a solid step forward, even if it's not a huge leap. The new design feels great in the hands, especially since I'm coming from the ergonomically-lauded Steam Deck. The Z2 Extreme chip brings serious power, letting you play demanding PC games surprisingly well on the go.
The software is still a bit clunky at times, but it's a step in the right direction for Microsoft and shows promise for the future of gaming on Windows.
On the downside, the battery life could be better and as state before, the XBOX UI still needs polish. Also, if you're already on a Z1 Extreme handheld, there's not a ton of reason to upgrade - but you're coming from something less powerful, it's a nice bump.

Fun with issues
Im using my Xbox ally x for a week now. Every game i personally tried is playing great..no performance issues.
On full power , you'll get somewhere around 2h of playtime .
My main issue is shody build quality. Plastics feel quite cheap. And there's a bit of play and noise coming from one side where front and back plastics are connected.
If you wanna extend playtime with powerbank..you will need to be sure it can deliver minimum amount of power to the console. I thi k it's 35w or so.

Outstanding delivery process great communication and product
Great communication on delivery and fantastic quality device haven’t had a smoother pre order from anyone before and when it arrived it was in perfect condition and was fun setting up and playing games from the various launchers and setting up emulators for the classics too couldn’t recommend the Rog Xbox ally X or the crew at Harvey Norman any higher

Perfect for gaming on the go
sleek, comfortable to hold and lighter than I expected. Easy to switch between fullscreen xbox and windows mode. Good battery life allows me to play for a couple of hours without charging whilst travelling.
The main drawback is the lack of a travel case, which is sold separately.

Just brilliant
Absolutely delighted with this, its my first time playing any kind of PC gaming and I love it. Very easy to use and the handles are a huge step up from my own nintendo switch. Any game I've played so far has run perfectly without any issues. 10 out of 10, definitely recommend this

Fantastic handheld with frustrating setup. Takes a few hours to get through all the updates - thank you Windows - but once it’s up and running and linked to Xbox pass and steam it’s a great handheld.
