Not suitable for books or any item with any weight
I bought this several months ago, sadly, it is not fit to hold books. The Open shelves are all bending under the weight of the items on a shelf. A nice visual design that ends up looking ridiculous as soon as some weight is put on it. I'm very sorry I purchased this bookcase (worse still -- I bought 2, one for each wall, and I waited over a month for delivery)

Poor design
Good quality but the design is poor, there were no holes in the top section of the bars for two of the rods to screw into, they were on the diagram in the assembly instructions. Bars are loose but had no real impact as it's on the top of the bookcase.
