The memory foam is very comfortable, I like it. I prefer the feel of it to gel, personally. Apparently the only difference is gel feels cooler to touch.
Ergonomic tip: despite the name, make sure your palm is resting on it and not your wrist.
You might be thinking "I can get a lower quality mouse mat for less money than that" but Allsop mouse mats last 20+ years, my parents still have the one we got when I was a child and it's absolutely perfect after 20 years of daily use.

Essential Product to Purchase
I would highly recommend purchasing this product. I feel it is essential if you are using working in an office to from home and are using a mouse quite a lot. It is very comforting to use and leaves your wrist pain free!
