Barista Guidance needs work.
I have had this machine just over a month. It is a fantastic machine with one main issue. My Barista Guidance does not seem to work. I have tried multiple things to get the system to work to no avail. Even if I have an extraction of 50 seconds it will not tell me to change grind size. I’m sure this must be an error with this machine as I’ve seen videos of this working perfectly. This was one of the main reasons for purchasing also. So a disappointment to say the least. Hopefully it is sorted out by Sage…
That being said the machine does everything else very well. The volumetric espresso dosing also seems to be accurate which I really like.

Great overall, but the water spout
The machine has some flaws but pretty good for home to make your own specialty coffee! I love the automated process, you don’t really need to do much overall. The auto tamping is not perfect, there is always coffee around but I don’t mind. The worst part is the water spout, it is spitting water and coffee all over the place, literally making a mess every time (thus the 4 stars). If you foam your milk manually, it is perfect though the auto foam works wonders as well. It’s really great that you can see the temperature of the milk on the screen, so you don’t have to guess when foaming manually. The touch screen is very good, probably the best one available.

What a machine!
I bought my coffee machine a month ago and I'm delighted that I did so. It is a seriously impressive piece of kit built to the highest specification. It took a little time to figure out how fine to ground the beans, but after a little trial and error I managed to nail it. Every process that the machine does is slick from grinding to pressing to frothing the milk. I don't drink a great deal of coffee but now I can enjoy a fabulous home poured cup at home.
The only addition I would recommend is for Sage to offer a second bean holder so that you can make a decaffeinated coffee when required.

The new "Milq" technology produces very very foamy cappuccino style milk that at least doubles the milk volume and instead of velvety smooth milk you end up with very airy watery milk. The espresso is ok the water tank you will have to fill pretty much every day and also empty the water tank every day at least. The hot water spout is reaaalllyyy rubbish bubbling ad spitting all over the place, it is more like a steam wand ejecting water rather than the excellent previous generation Oracle Touch
I have/had the previous Oracle Touch which produced great coffee and great milk (still waiting for Sage support to bother to answer my email to get it repaired).
Overall I have to say I am really disappointed with this which is interesting because all the "unbiased" reviews seem to suggest it is brilliant (it isn't)

Super easy and stylish
Disappointed with the quality of milk froth, otherwise this would have received 5 stars.
Brought to replace an oracle touch which was having some issues with the boiler unit. Liked that this machine doesn’t use boilers so hoped it would be a winner
Coffee making and ease of use are fab. My only issue is the milk just doesn’t froth like the oracle touch used to. Even at number 8, the froth is watery at best and certainly not foamy and smooth.
Otherwise it’s a great, intuitive coffee machine.

OK but for the touch screen.
In general terms I am very pleased with the Oracle Jet. BUT...
I bought it to replace a Barista Touch Impress that developed a touch screen fault and, disappointingly, the Oracle Jet seems to have a screen problem of its own. It requires up to four touches before it responds, rarely working the first time. The screen is clean as are my hands. This is very frustrating in a machine that to me is an expensive purchase and is failing to live up to expectations.
I really like the design and features of the Jet but cannot recommend it because of the temperamental touch screen. Five stars if that wasn't the case.

I bought my Oracle Jet in the Black Friday period sales. So far, I have been extremely happy with it. It was very easy to dial in my coffee beans and the espresso produced is excellent. Automatic milk steaming seems to be milk dependent - whole milk steams perfectly, anything else is not as good but still drinkable. The auto tamping feature works flawlessly. I was slightly worried about this from other reviews and comments online but my experience has been very good.
Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. It is expensive, even when on sale, but if you have the budget you won’t be disappointed.

Does it all, at a price
For years I’d used top end Nespresso machines with a steam wand but moved to a bean to cup once it needed replacing. First purchase was the Barista Express which was a good machine but takes effort and practice to get good coffee. Wife hated it for this reason. So, 3 months later upgraded to the Oracle Jet. Amazing machine, very intuitive to use, most of the manual steps now automatically done for you. Plus it can also do cold extraction for perfect iced coffees and espresso martinis! Overall a very impressive machine, easy to use, and makes consistently good coffee from the get go. Wife can use it too! Only down side is the price, hence the 4 stars not 5, but it’s worth it for us and the simplicity
