Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice and portable I bought this specifically for when I'm traveling light as my other Bluetooth speaker (minirigs) is bigger and quite heavy. Sound wise I've been spoiled by the minirigs but this is probably what I expected given the size and weight with decent bass and clear tones. It doesn't get as loud as I'd like, hence the 4 stars but it doesn't get laboured at full volume. Just don't expect it to fill a room. It appears well made with a rubberized coating and carry strap and looks great. Battery life is good, I've not run out yet. There are no bells or whistles, just phone streaming. Overall I'm happy with it.

It’s very easy to set up and link to phone or tablet and once it’s connected you are instantly rewarded with a rich powerful sound from the small solid unit. The performance is exceptional for such a compact speaker, with excellent crisp clarity and a good deep bass. I’ve used it both inside and outside and not had any issues with the sound quality or the wireless connectivity. Charging is very simple, and the battery life is great, despite using it regularly it doesn’t seem to ever get fully depleted. Definitely a worthwhile investment and great value for money.

Super easy to use but i wasnt expecting the quality of sound and bass and the volume that this speaker makes. The high notes are tight and the bass is deep and rich. It paired to my phone with no issues and the range for a Bluetooth speaker is realy good. I would most definitely recommend this over any portable speakers i have had in the past and the carrying strap is great for securing it to things i used it to secure it to my rucksack and it was fantastic.

Being waterproof it takes a splash without a problem. Unlike many speakers you can use for voice calls. It can be paired with another of the same to create a stereo system. A really great sound quality, not thin and tiny or a bass so deep that everything shakes. I use it everyday, I bought them as presents for my family too. The retail price is very good too… I am real fan of Sony gear, from sound to cameras, right now I think they are leading the field.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional sound from a pocket sized speaker [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was surprised how small the speaker is having bought the Sony SRS2 years ago. But the XB 100 is lighter looks good and has a nice rubberised texture. The Bluetooth connection to an Xperia phone was effortless and connection very stable. The biggest surprise however was the quality and volume of sound produced. I have tried it mainly with music so far and it has a for its size a good bass (not muddy) and again comparing to the SRS 2 completely different sound signature. Both are good but the XB100 produces far more room filling sound. But even outdoors the sound is really good. I look forward to linking to a second XB100 for excellent stereo sound.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Gave it away I’m someone who loves and appreciates music. I needed a replacement speaker and bought this one due to good reviews and price mainly. The sound quality is excellent the volume is rubbish! I wanted something I can bring to my hot tub or when I’m washing up or hoovering! The volume is ridiculously low at the max! It’s a great speaker if you just want to listen in the bath… I wouldn’t say the shower as I’m sure the shower is louder than this. This speaker for sound is like a magnifying glass for reading.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I’m Shocked [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a shock, I cannot believe the sound quality of this little Bluetooth speaker, there is absolutely no distortion even when on max volume, I cannot believe the base on this little thing, It’s amazing. My son phoned me whilst I was listening to some music and I answered through this little unit and it was crystal clear, my son thought I was directly speaking into my phone and when I said that it was through the speaker he couldn't believe it. Ive added a picture to show the size of it, it even fits into a cup holder in the car.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pocket speaker producing a mighty punch [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Sony SRS-XB100 is a small pocket speaker that produces crisp and clear sounds. Thanks to the strap added to this device it is easily portable and can be attached to a number of items such as clothing and bags. Granted while mobile the bass isn't as loud as you want it but as soon as you put it down on a surface, the bass drops. Very impressed with the quality of bass provided on this device. When I compared it with its older cousin the SRS-XB30 there was immediate differences you could hear in sound quality and bass. I like it's durability and battery life too. I would definitely recommend this device for newcomers to the world of wireless speakers as a starting product.
