Harvey Norman is an Apple Authorised Service Provider. The Apple certified technicians in our Dublin repair centre are equipped with a full suite of Apple diagnostic software and tools. With 12 drop-off locations around the country, getting you back up and running has never been easier. Simply drop your Mac, iOS or Beats product to the Lovetech helpdesk in any drop-off location. We’ll do the rest!

Apple Authorised Warranty Repairs

At Harvey Norman Lovetech, our team of Apple Certified Macintosh Technicians are fully authorised to complete repairs on your device under your Apple Limited Warranty, regardless of where you purchased it.

What does this mean for you?

Simply put, if your device has coverage from Apple (Apple Limited Warranty, AppleCare or AppleCare+) our team can repair your device at no cost to you. Your warranty will remain in tact following service from our team and any parts fitted, or replacement models issued will carry a new 90-day warranty from Harvey Norman. Apple’s service system relies on estimated dates of purchase, if the warranty status of your device appears to be outside of the coverage period, you will need to provide your original proof of purchase if purchased outside of Harvey Norman.

Cost: No net cost to customer

Non-Warranty Apple Repairs

While your device may fall outside any form of warranty coverage, we would always recommend using an Apple Authorised Service Provider for any repair work. Unauthorised agents use third party or harvested parts to remedy hardware issues. In many cases, this can cause further damage.

What do you get with Harvey Norman Lovetech?

Firstly, our technicians are Apple certified and only use genuine Apple parts to resolve any hardware issues. Most importantly, we stand over our work. Any part that is replaced by Harvey Norman Lovetech comes with an additional 3-month warranty.

Simply visit the Lovetech service desk in any of our 12 stores. If the issue can be resolved there, the Lovetech technician will provide you with options. If the issue is hardware based, a diagnosis fee of €69 is paid (this fee is deducted from the repair quote if accepted). Our certified technicians at our service centre will then examine your device, and your quote will be generated.

The rest is up to you, but remember, if there is an Apple Repair Extension Program for the issue you have reported, our Apple Certified Macintosh Technicians will let you know.

  • Software Issues from €30
  • Hardware Diagnosis fee €69 (Deducted from final quotation). This fee is non-refundable. If the quotation is declined, this fee will stand. Some exceptions may apply e.g. no part availability

Mac Upgrades

We understand that for our customers, an Apple device may be your sole business resource or it may be your recreational device. Either way, we understand that it’s important to you, which is all the more reason to make sure it is performing as well as it can.

Hardware upgrades are completed at our repair centre and usually take 3-5 business days. We can upgrade your hard drive to a larger capacity, increase the amount of RAM or move you over to a super fast solid-state drive. For more information, check out these services in the Repair and Upgrade Services section. Our certified technicians carry out any upgrades meaning your warranty is still intact. Solid state drives come with a full 1-year warranty.

Software Services

Ever come across a nasty spinning rainbow wheel while using your Mac? Yes? Then we can help. We hate it as much as you and we know exactly how to get rid of it. Updating or upgrading OS X will ensure the system you are using is optimised, while updating any installed apps will prevent those freezing and crashing issues. Our expert team at any Lovetech service desk can perform software upgrades on your device where you can expect a same day or (at the latest) 24-hour turnaround time. We also offer Mac OS X installations, Windows installations (via Boot Camp or virtual machines) and general software installations.

Data Recovery

Regular data back-ups are the only way to ensure your data is safe. Time-Machine is now built into all OS X systems as standard, so creating a back-up has never been easier. In the event that your OS becomes corrupt or your storage device fails, a simple Time-Machine restore will bring all those files back to your new drive as if they never went away.

But what happens when you haven’t created your back-up disk of those important pictures and documents? We can help. Our service desks have a range of recovery options available. Get your Mac to your nearest drop-off location, where a member of our Lovetech team can assess your device and offer solutions. Once your disk drive is not making a clicking sound, we usually have a high recovery rate.

Beats and Apple


Did you know that Apple also handles the warranty for your Beats product? What does this mean for you? It means our Apple Certified Macintosh Technicians are also trained to offer service for the entire Beats range. So should you have any issues, you can drop your Beats headphones to any of our drop-off locations around the country or directly to our repair centre in Dublin.

The service option for Beats is to replace the entire unit. This service is free under warranty and also available as a chargeable service outside of warranty. Like any replaced iOS device, replaced Beats products come with a 3-month warranty or the remainder of your original warranty, whichever is longer.

Troubleshooting Beats


Many Beats issues are easy to identify, but for any wireless or Bluetooth issues that are more difficult to resolve, be sure to run the Beats Updater Tool from your computer to ensure your Beats have the latest firmware installed. The tool can be found here:

Non-warranty Mac devices are subject to a €69 inspection/diagnosis fee. Once our certified technicians have identified the fault, a price will be generated, usually within 24 hours. The €69 is deducted from the final quote, but will stand should the quote be rejected. Some common repair cost pricing can be found here.
