This is an automatic toaster, which means the Auto Sensor lowers and lifts for you, and browns your toast according to 7 grades of “golden”, counted down by an LED timer. You wouldn't expect to get excited over a toaster, but oh my, this is an exception! it is fantastic, looks great, toasts great, which I know is what it is supposed to do but a lot of toasters ive had over the years do the first round of toast ok but if doing a batch they get more and more burnt as the toaster gets warms but this toaster is consistent no matter how many slices you do. The "keeping warm" option is genius as the amount of times I do toast get distracted and come back and the toast is cold, not with the KitchenAid toaster, if you walk away the toaster knows and will keep the toast warm until you are back...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2 slice toaster Excellent toaster! Very nice looking but also toasts very well on both sides of the bread. Love the way the automated slice goes down on its own after placing the slices in the slots and that it has the tray to pick up the crumbs. Very handy to have the option to put frozen bread which ensures the toast is well toasted, has the option for bagels and great for grilled cheese sandwiches since it has the item to place the sandwich in; put it in a toaster bag which avoids the butter and cheese from dirtying the toaster. All in all, very satisfied with my purchase — a bit pricy for a toaster but you get what you pay for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding toaster Although this toaster is very very expensive it's exactly what we wanted in our new kitchen. We already have the matching kettle. The toaster makes the same noise as the kettle when you put bread etc. into it. It automatically lowers the toast guide into the toaster and away it goes! The keep warm function is a genius idea as I like my toast to be hot. I can't tell you how many times I've had to put it back into previous toasters only to forget it and have to start over. My only bit of feedback is that there is no option to 'lift' the toast guide up higher than it comes automatically. This means things like hot cross buns remain low down inside the toaster. You then need to unplug it from the wall and use silicone tongs to get them out. Overall though I absolutely love it!

However the toaster left me a little disappointed as the bread didn't toast evenly on both sides. I sent the first one back as I thought it was perhaps a fault in the machine but the replacement was much the same. I have kept it and have resolved a way to toast with 2 brown sides, turning half way through the time. Hence 4 stars. It has good options for bagels and toast from frozen and is nice looking machine.
