Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent performance and design A well made, efficient and attractive kettle. Boils very quickly and is easy to fill to any desired level. Stable on its base and not too noisy. Previously had the Classic glass kettle, but the exposed glass rim broke after accidental knock, a design fault. Present kettle has much better protection for the glass, and the button lid opening mechanism is again an improvement-the Classic lid had to be pulled out, difficult for anyone with weak hands.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too Much Limescale I purchased this item three weeks ago. I used it for three days and noticed that there was a high level of limescale build-up inside the unit. I used a de-scaler and within four days, the build-up had returned. I find this kettle unsuitable for my needs. because I use triple-filtered water (as I use a water filter). My previous glass kettle from Lakeland did not need de-scaling for more than 60 days! I have now had to return this item and I would not recommend this item to others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good buy. I bought this kettle January/February 2024. Feels sturdy and balanced. Quiet boiling. Lid opens to nearly 90 degrees. Easy operation button to open the lid. Good and easy operation button under the handle to turn on/off boiling. Pours well. Handle good to hold. Good to have the option to boil one cup/mug of water. The green cup indicator on the glass is not very clear (we are older consumers so this may only be an issue for those with imperfect sight). Delighted with this purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too Heavy Man This kettle is one of the heaviest not only that Russell Hobbs make but all the rest. So disappointed. Nothing stated anywhere that the weight is in the bottom of the kettle. Why is the element so heavy in this kettle. It is quieter than my previous one. Looks pretty when there is no condensation all over it. I reckon that the push button lid opener will be the first thing to go wrong as it is so flimsy. Tea tasted lovely. It's too expensive. Wish I'd had just bought a replacement of my old Russell Hobbs kettle instead of trying to upgrade.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Purchased the same model kettle for its features. This is my second one. I like the clear glass ,fast boil, and small spout, it minimises steam emission. My first one broke of faulty on off switch after 2 years. Found out later I had 3 year guarantee, ! Generally appears durable and I must use it at least ten times daily.

Our old kettle also from Russell Hobbs and purchased 3 years back ans still working in a good condition. This new one - Glass and Blue Light is extra bonus.
