Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good phone, let down by the software The phone itself seems like a good piece of kit for the price. Battery is good, camera better than others at a similar price, connectivity works fine. Feels robust. However Sony appear to have stopped providing default basic apps. There are no Sony email, messaging, calendar or gallery apps. A phone is no use without the software to operate it. So you have to find and buy these apps yourself, either with money or by accepting advertising from Google, Microsoft, etc. Also, while there is an SD card slot, there is no option to encrypt the SD card, so it is not as useful as it could be. I guess these issue may not matter to everyone but they are why I've knocked a couple of stars off.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bluetooth issues with car, seen similar reviews Phones nice but Bluetooth cuts off every 30 seconds when connected to the car, only fixes 15mins into the journey. Not a fault with my car (jaguar xe 2018) as my previous Huawei phone and other passenger phones have no issues. I've read that other people online have the same issue. I would return the phone if I had the chance as this is a major software issue which seems to have been around since 2021 from what I've seen online yet no fixes yet. Disappointing from Sony. Camera quality is appalling in this day and age but I guess you get what you paid for. I just didn't realise Bluetooth would be an issue.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed I have had Xperia 10s since they were introduced, and this feels like a budget phone. I do not need the more advanced features of the Xperia 1 or 5, but this 10 v lacks features that existed on my previous 10 iii. There is no status LED, so you can not see at a glance charge status or notifications. Also, 4K video recording has been removed. When "upgrading" one expects to find at least a specification that matches the previous models. I wish I had checked the specs in detail before signing up for a new contract. Shame on Sony for downgrading this model.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quick load time, long battery life, clear screen I got this phone 2 weeks ago to replace my broken xz3, it's got a good camera and a long battery life for now as expected with a new phone, if you are playing mobile games do remove any cover you have on it as it overheats and I have had apps randomly close down because of this, make sure you buy a c-charger if you don't have one because it doesn't come with the phone, It has good sound quality and the screen resolution is very clear with a vibrant colour base, the phone is more squared than rounded which makes it much more user friendly so it doesn't slide of the table or out of your hands without a case on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Experia - The Next Phase Migrating up the Experia chain again fourth model in a series over a number of years. Generally very pleased very easy to pick up everything directly and quickly via USB cable from my previous [Experia L4] phone. As usual with a new phone, there's one or two quirks to get used to. Battery life is impressive with 5 or 6 days between charge - I don't use it to call much. More annoying is apparent changes to the way bluetooth works. I used to be able to link my hearing aids for sound AND settings controls on the L4. No it's either/or via forget and reinstate each time to swap between - looks like an Android issue... This is asking for photos or videos - what's the point you all know what a phone looks like!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lots of potential What I like: Small, compact form factor, cute & unique body colour, Came with latest Android 14 OS, Dedicated Xperia support app. What I hate and could be better: Much better processor + 8GB RAM (as minimum), Louder and clearer stereo sounds w/ Dolby Atmos support, Much better display quality (90Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10/HDR+/Widevine full compatibility, PWM dimming, 2 Android OS and 3 years worth of monthly security updates (as minimum) + continous quality of life & enhancement updates to general performance, cameras, battery life, etc.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Appalling support and poor software The answer to every question of support seems to be factory reset rather than escalate a bug to the technical department. Five times now. An example, I am informed by Sony there is a software update to apply. I take the option. It tells me it needs to use my WiFi. My WiFi is switched on. The screen hangs telling you nothing. I ring support, switch off mobile data they say. That doesn't work. Factory reset.they say. That means downloading my apps again I say? But the Google apps will automatically download anyway no other option they say. This has happened on several occasions. If I could throw it or them in the canal I would. It is not cheap and I will be paying for 3 years as my finances are limited. When I replace it sure won't be Sony.

This time I changed a L3 (with me since November 2019) just because I could not find where to change a battery that is starting to swollen, very dangerous!! Now I bought a 10V. I am not happy with the transfer, I lost many data from my older the most important that making me cry are calendar and photos ( all my photos since 2004!!). I searched on Google for some tips but zero results. It is sad Sony doesn't keep a version that we, old costumers, could save our data
