Extradry: Extra Drying Option for Difficult-to-Dry Loads

Plastic items in dishwashers often remain wet after the cleaning is done. That’s why Bosch dishwashers offer the ExtraDry programme. It raises the temperature of the final rinse and extends the drying time. This way, even plastic items such as baby bottles or picnic-ware turn out perfectly clean and completely dry.

Extra Silence Whenever You Need It

Sometimes you need an extra silent environment at home to focus on your daily chores. The Silence on demand function can be activated via the Home Connect App and silences your dishwasher whenever necessary. It reduces noise to a minimum for up to 30 minutes at any time by an active pause while the dishwasher keeps on running. With the Silence on demand function, you can focus on what matters most.

Info Light - All the Information You Need

A red LED spot on the floor updates on whether your dishwasher is still operating or has finished the cycle.

Your Favourite Function with Just One Touch

Make the most out of your dishwasher by simplying your daily life. With the Favourite function, you can simply set up your most used programs and options as your favourite combination. The programmed setting can be started via the Home Connect app (available on selected models) or directly on the display with one step. Easy Start Guide

Selecting the right wash programme for your dishwasher can not only be confusing, but can often result in less than perfect cleaning results. The only thing you need to do is enter the degree of soiling and the type and quantity of the dishes or cutlery being washed in.

Tab Counter

Running out of dishwasher tablets is the last thing you want when you need clean dishes. The Tab Counter on the Home Connect app tracks your consumption and informs you via push notification when you’re down to your last five tablets according to your last purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good! Early days yet - have the dishwasher for just over two weeks. It's significantly quieter than the previous BOSCH dishwasher we had. There are some nice new features such as "half-load" and "speed perfect". It was very easy to install and to get going. The manual is good and v.comprehensive. Despite numerous attempts I have not been able to pair the dishwasher with the "Home Connect" app. I have consulted the FAQ's, gone on-line but have not been able to find a solution. It's the first app of its type where I have had such difficulty. I have succeeded with little difficulty in setting up apps for robot vacuum cleaner; robot lawnmower; wi-fi plugs etc. So on that basis deducting one star.

The instructions for installation were clear and it fitted in well where my old dishwasher was so I was happy with that. It has a number of different types of programmes which is handy, depending on what is going in. These range from intense for a heavily soiled load to express for a faster wash if needed. The trays are well organised, with plenty storage, and there are eight different sized sections in the cutlery basket. It is very quiet when in use. The items come out very clean and it does a nice job on glassware and cutlery. I am very pleased with the product and understand Bosch products are durable and long lasting so this is one of the reasons I chose it.

Had a more expensive and bettwr model previously but we have very haed water and machines don't last long so choose a cheaper model and seems fine. Installation manual was useless but otherwise no complaints

Can this be connected to a hot water supply.

Is it possible that dishwasher SMV2ITX18G has 15min quick wash. I did find it on different website but according to BOSCH I can't find it or accualy it doesn't exists on this model? Pleae confirm
