Epson EcoTank ET-2850
Bought this with aim of preventing waste (i.e. having to dispose of working printers due to unavailability of ink). The tanks are huge (75ml for colours - was 14ml on last cartridge-based printer) and bottles aren't messy. I used to always get some ink on fingers when using cartridges but not with this system. The refill cost of the ink is about the same as my older printer, but it should last FIVE times longer until refill is needed.
Aside from its green and money-saving credentials, this gives a fine sharp print and does automatic double-sided printing - something cheaper models don't do.
Software bundle does all that you'd need/expect.
Only slightly misleading thing from most advert photographs, is that paper is fed from the back - it doesn't sit neatly inside a cassette.

Why would you even buy HP when you got this?
A great-all around printer with cheaper ink than alternative. Perfect for B&W printing, but does surprizingly good photos too to the point where you wonder why do you need a specialized photo printer.

Very Economical, but software might need improving.
The printer is very economical. You can hardly see the ink going down even after large and colour prints. I had an issue with the printer stopping printing when my laptop went into sleep mode. When the laptop woke up, the printer started printing the document from the beginning again which was annoying, and did not happen with my previous printer. Also, for the price, the screen is tiny and is not touch screen.

Not a true photo printer
This printer is good only if you want to print documents. If you ever need to print photos then it will only use the black ink in very limited measures, mostly it will mix the other colours to try get black but this ends up in very cold blue/green prints, black and white prints look even worse. For a printer at this price I would have expected it to at the very least give an accurate colour print.

Eco tank
This is my second eco tank they are a great printer and the ink will last at least a year. Only downsides the settings need to be changed to make the print more vibrant and depending on what you are printing you need to try all settings… also if not used often enough you need to clean the head … I do this regularly just to keep the head ok

An incredible printer, definitely much better than our previous one, printing is faster and color is vivid. Only downside that I have is that it does not provide a option for bordeless printing. Otherwise I definitely recommend it to anyone.

Very good set up instructions via the app. Simple addition of inks and test printing to get basic settings completed. Screen is small, but very definitely not a deal breaker. Very happy with printer so far.
