  • *DEXA: Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) is widely recognised as the gold standard for measuring body composition. It is extensively used in hospitals, medical examinations, and other professional institutional settings. By comparing the test data measured with the scale to DEXA, the closer the correlation coefficient is to 1, the more accurate the measurement data indicates. DEXA emits low-level radiation and cannot be used by pregnant women.
  • * The correlation coefficient ≥0.93 between Xiaomi Body Composition Scale S400 and DEXA for fat mass measurement data: Data comes from the Accuracy Study Test Report of Xiaomi Body Composition Scale S400 Based on Dual-energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) given by Dr. Meitao and his research team at the China Institute of Sport and Health Science.
  • *An analysis report of 25 body composition indicators: Body weight, heart rate, BMI, body score, body water content, body hydration, body fat percentage, fat mass, protein mass, protein rate, muscle mass, muscle rate, bone mineral mass, bone mineral rate, visceral fat rate, basal metabolic rate, lean body mass, body type, estimated waist-hip ratio, body age, skeletal muscle mass, weight control, muscle control, fat control, standard weight.   • *Health for the whole family: It allows users aged 6–80 years to measure body weight, body fat percentage, and other body composition indicators. Children under 6 years old and adults over 80 years old can only measure their weight due to their special physical conditions.
  • *Store information for up to 36 family members: Each device can be bound to 1 main Xiaomi account. The main account can share the device with 5 Xiaomi accounts using the device sharing function. In addition, the main account and shared accounts can each create 5 virtual users who can each use the device. The scale can store the information of up to 36 users simultaneously. The full range of measurements is supported for the main account, shared accounts, and virtual accounts. Users with a weight deviation within ±2kg cannot be automatically identified and must be manually recognised using Xiaomi Home app.
  • *Static heart rate monitoring: This refers to the number of heart beats per minute measured while the user is in a calm and motionless state. Xiaomi Body Composition Scale S400 can measure the static heart rate after the body fat measurement. Heart rate monitoring is turned on by default and can be turned off in Xiaomi Home app > Device > Settings.
  • *Switch mode: Modes can be switched only when the scale is connected to Xiaomi Home app.
  • *Small object weighing: Small objects refers to objects weighing between 0.1kg to 10kg. The precision of the scale is within 0.1kg and the minimum weight is 0.1kg. For small objects weighing ≤5kg, the scale needs to be stepped on to be woken up, and the object can be placed on the scale when the display shows 0.0kg. Objects weighing >5kg can be placed directly on the scale.
  • *180-day battery life: Battery life data comes from Yunmai Laboratory and may vary due to differences in specific products, habits of use, and environments during actual use. Please refer to the actual conditions of use. Testing conditions for this product: The scale, powered by 3 AAA batteries, in a at 25°C environment, was used to take weight measurements 3 times per day for approximately 45 seconds each time. The longest battery life observed was 180 days.
  • *Encouragement for achieving key benchmarks: 'Achieving key benchmarks' means that the measured weight, body fat, and heart rate are within the standard range and a '√' is displayed beside the numerical value. If the values are not within the standard range, they will not be displayed. The body weight benchmark is determined by the BMI calculation and the body fat benchmark is determined by algorithm calculation. A 60–100bpm range is considered normal for heart rate. To determine appropriate body weight and body fat benchmarks, the scale will identify a unique user before calculating and defining the standard range.
  • · Correct measurement method: It is recommended that the user wear light clothing and perform measurements at the same time and under the same conditions every day. Measurements should be taken in the morning on an empty stomach to obtain more accurate data. Behaviours such as drinking a large amount of water, eating, engaging in intense physical exercise, and taking a shower can affect the measurement results.
  • · Objects weighing less than 10kg will be considered as small objects and their resulting weight measurement data will not be saved. If you need to weigh infants, please use the 'Baby Holder' mode on the app to save their weight.
  • · This product is not a medical device. The measurement data and results are for reference only. The health data and suggestions provided may vary under different conditions and shall not be used as a basis for diagnosis or treatment.
