Water flossing is a particularly effective way to clean and flush away plaque and debris from around dental braces, bridges, crowns, implants and periodontal pockets. Spotlight Oral Care Water Flosser with UV Steriliser has three modes with varying water pressure to suit all individual needs.

  Directions for use:

  Step One

  • Charge the unit for 4 hours prior to first use
  • Insert the cable into the unit and insert the adapter into a USB power outlet
  • Unplug the charging cable from the unit prior to filling with water and during use

  Step Two

  • Twist the water tank off the device and place it under the tap
  • Fill the tank with tepid water and twist the tank back onto the device

  Step Three

  • Choose a tip that is right for you. Click the tip into place

  Step Four

  • Power the device by using the Power button. Press the mode button once to select UV. The UV mode will run for 1 minute and automatically switch off once the sterilisation has been completed.
  • The built in UV steriliser uses LED ultraviolet technology to eliminate harmful bacteria, up to 99.9% in 1 minute, ensuring optimum cleanliness with every use

  If you would prefer not to use the UV mode, you can skip this step by pressing the mode button twice.

  Step Five

  • When the sterilisation completes, and the UV light turns off, press the mode button to select your preferred flossing mode. Choose between gentle, clean and pulse for a customised flossing experience

  Step Six

  • Once you have chosen your preferred mode, place the tip in your mouth and To avoid water splatter, keep the tip in your mouth while the unit is on. The device will run for 2 minutes

  Step Seven

  • Aim the tip at your gum line and work from your back teeth to your front teeth, spraying water along the gumline. Floss both the front and back of each tooth

  Step Eight

  • Partially close your mouth to minimise splashing, letting the water flow out of your mouth into the sink

  Step Nine

  • Rinse the tip in fresh water after each use and allow to air dry

  Flossing Techniques

  Maximise your flossing experience by using these simple steps:

  • We recommend using your water flosser before brushing teeth to dislodge debris and plaque which brushing can then effectively and easily clear away
  • Aim the tip at a 90-degree angle to the tooth
  • Start at the back teeth and follow the gum line, pausing briefly between each tooth. Spend at least 3 seconds cleaning in between each tooth and along the gumline, and between 4-5 seconds cleaning between your back molars
  • Hold the tip away from the teeth and gum to allow the water flow to wash away plaque and food debris
  • Use the tongue scraper to remove extra particles from the surface of your tongue, helping to alleviate bad breath
  • Use your water flosser at least once a day to maintain oral health, more often if you wear braces or have orthodontic work

  Spotlight Oral Care Water Flosser with UV Steriliser Tips:

  Periodontal Pocket Sprinkler:

  • This tip rinses and massages thoroughly, reaching deep below the gumline to access periodontal pockets and furcations

  Orthodontic Spray Tip:

  • This tip has a tapered brush, designed to reach underneath wires and around brackets, making it the perfect tool if you wear braces or have orthodontic work. Move the tip along the gumline, pausing briefly to gently brush the area between the teeth and orthodontic bracket to efficiently remove food debris and plaque

  Classic Jet Tip:

  • This tip can be used daily to deep-clean between teeth and below the gumline where regular flossing and brushing cannot reach

  Tongue Scraper:

  The spoon-like shape of this tip removes bacteria effectively from the tongue, helping to prevent bad breath. Place the tongue scraper in the centre of the tongue, about halfway back. Turn the power of and gently pull the tip to the front of the tongue with light pressure. Repeat as required.

  Cleaning your Spotlight Oral Care Water Flosser with U.V. Steriliser.

  General cleaning:

  Hard water deposits may build up in your unit depending on the mineral content of your water. If left unattended, this may hinder performance. Clean internal parts by adding 2 tablespoons on white vinegar to a full tank of clean water. Repeat this process every 1-3 months to ensure optimal performance.

  There are no consumer serviceable parts in this appliance and it does not require maintenance.

  Water Flosser Tips:

  Rinse tips after each use. Allow to air dry. Replace tips every 3 months.

  Water Flosser Body:

  Wipe the unit with a clean, damp cloth and leave to air dry. Ensure the container is fully drained before storage. Unplug the charging cable before cleaning.
