4. Testing conducted by Apple in January and February 2026 using preproduction iPad Air 11-inch (M4) and iPad Air 13-inch (M4) units. Testing consisted of full battery discharge while performing each of the following tasks: video playback and internet browsing using Wi‑Fi or a mobile data network (cellular models subscribed to LTE and 5G networks). Video content was a repeated 2-hour 23-minute movie purchased from the iTunes Store. Internet over Wi‑Fi and a mobile data network tested by browsing 20 popular web pages. All settings were default except: Wi‑Fi was associated with a network (except for internet browsing over mobile data network); the Wi‑Fi feature Ask to Join Networks and Auto-Brightness were turned off; Brightness was set to 50%; and WPA2 encryption was enabled. Battery life depends on device settings, usage, network and many other factors. Battery tests are conducted using specific iPad units; actual results may vary.

5. Testing conducted by Apple in January and February 2026 using preproduction iPad Air 13-inch (M4) units with 8-core CPU and 12GB of unified memory, as well as production iPad Air (5th generation) units with 8-core CPU and 8GB of unified memory. DaVinci Resolve 20.3.1 for iPad tested by rendering a project to Apple ProRes 422 HQ, at 1920x1080 resolution and 24 frames per second. Performance tests are conducted using specific iPad units and reflect the approximate performance of iPad Air.

6. Testing conducted by Apple in January and February 2026 using preproduction iPad Air 13-inch (M4) units with 8-core CPU and 12GB of unified memory, as well as production iPad Air (5th generation) units with 8-core CPU and 8GB of unified memory. Prerelease Octane X 2026.2.00 tested using a scene with 770,000 meshes and 8 million unique primitives, utilising hardware-accelerated ray tracing on systems with M4. Performance tests are conducted using specific iPad units and reflect the approximate performance of iPad Air.
