Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Delighted I've been using this as part of a set up for my bedroom, along with a JBL Spinner turntable. It sounds so great I'm positive it outperforms most people's main system in their living room. The sound is rich and full, the bass in particular is excellent, but the treble sounds great too. This speaker really has a lot of power, I think I may like it more than my neighbours! I really like the fact that it's Bluetooth too, so I can easily move it round the house or in the garden for parties, without having to mess about with cables. I'm absolutely delighted with my speaker and I would wholeheartedly recommend this product!

I was looking for something for the front room that was premium quality and also Alexa enabled as thats what we primarily us to listen to music in the house. This fits the bill beautifully, everything on it is as high end as you would expect even the packaging!! The sound from its many speakers is clear and full and the bass from the woofer on the bottom really packs a punch. Everything on it is premium quality from the materials on the outside to the dials on the top. My only small issue would be requiring an app for it as its always a negative to have to install more things on my phone. All round great product.++

The sound quality is simply superb, delivering high-definition audio that fills both small and large rooms with ease. Setting up the JBL Authentics 500 is easy and the added features like Bluetooth pairing and voice assistance make it a user friendly and convenient. I of course have to mention the design - classic yet modern! Love it! Has been a talking point among my guests when they see it. Overall, I would highly recommend the JBL Authentics 500 to anyone seeking a fab sound experience. Its exceptional sound quality, user-friendly features and design make it worth the investment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quirky design, with an enjoyable sound profile. Quirky design, with an enjoyable sound profile. I enjoy listening to music on this speaker, you can have music playing quietly and still get a punchy decent sound from it. It's definitely a bassy profile, which might not work for some people, but on the hole it makes most music sound good! The looks are a masive part of it, get this if you like how it looks, if not don't bother as there are other options that will cost a bit less and sound just as good! With regards to connectivity, this works well as a smart speaker - and responds well to "hey google". However casting to it from chrome wasn't amazing, I found it would have lots of pauses when my laptop moved. Airplay was almost impeccable, and bluetooth also worked very well!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply outstanding speaker This speaker is an absolute standout! From the moment you open the box, its impressive size and solid build quality leaves a lasting impression. Setting it up via the app is a breeze, and within minutes, I was streaming music from my iPhone to the speaker with AirPlay, even waking it up from sleep mode. The sound quality is where this speaker truly shines. It easily outperforms it’s younger sibling, the Authentics 200. With powerful bass from the bottom mounted subwoofer, even at low volumes, it fills the room with impressive sound quality. When turned up to the maximum volume, it delivers a truly impressive experience. You’re able to control the bass, mid & treble levels all from the app and also the volume. While its weight makes it less portable, its sleek design makes it fit into any space, whether it's a modern or retro space. Overall, I can't recommend this speaker enough. I've already been telling all my friends - it's a game changer for speakers!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Generally good I recently got my hands on the JBL Authentics 500, and I have to say, it's pretty impressive. The sound quality is pretty solid although it lacks a lot of stereo feel to it, it has decent highs and good bass. The retro design adds a cool touch to my living room and you can tell it's well finished (which is good because the speaker is quite large). Setting it up was straightforward, and I appreciate the wireless streaming options but the wifi doesn't work with Spotify, only a few selected app that I am not using. It's also meant to work as a soundbar (with dolby atmos) but doesn't have any hdmi or optical port so the only option is to use bluetooth, and delay the TV signal. If you're in the market for a quality speaker with a vintage look, the JBL Authentics 500 is definitely worth considering. Just be aware of its size and the few connectvity specifities around it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Expensive, but worth it JBL Authentics 500 is a beautiful and intelligent speaker that is almost a plug and play! I mean, I've never set up a smart device so easily: within ten minutes it was connected to Spotify and Google home, great! A500 has WiFi and Bluetooth as wireless connections, and Ethernet, USB type C, Aux as physical hardware connectivity. Sound performance are really terrific, because of its fine Dolby Atmos sound, that is really well expressed thanks to 3 x 1" tweeter, 3 x 2,75" midrange 1 x 6,5" subwoofer: in particular, I found the bass really warm and enveloping. From size to performance, A500 is surprising in all its aspects, from audio quality to structural quality and 70s-inspired retro design, plus versatile in use. I recommend it without any doubt to all audiophiles, even the most demanding ones. Price not within everyone's reach but reasonable for quality and functionality.

Setting up and connecting to my JBL spinner was a breeze. The sound and clarity are stunning, the output is more than I could ever have expected. I found no negatives to report here. FANTASTIC
