Local and Responsible

Choosing King Koil supports Irish jobs and local communities and reduces environmental impact. We make 100% of our finished products in Kilcullen, Co. Kildare and source locally wherever possible meaning your purchase supports communities and the circular economy across Ireland.

Protecting Ireland's Biodiversity:

In 2025, King Koil planted native trees for the Guaranteed Irish Forest in Kilkenny, aligning with national environment goals to increase native forestry levels in Ireland. Native species such as oak, holly and birch were planted to contribute to Ireland's ecosystem.

Giving Back:

King Koil donates mattresses and beds to healthcare and children's charities, including Barretstown Children's Charity and Temple Street Children's Hospital. Our support extends to Ronald McDonald House, and we plan to provide beds for 150 rooms in the adult accommodation centre at the New Children's Hospital.

Supporting Local:

All comfort foams and foundation layers are made by us at our Dublin plant. Fabrics for our bases and headboards are supplied locally where possible, including from Irwin's in Armagh and Tabetex™ in Cavan. We make our own fibre from polyester at our EcoWave™ site in Westmeath.

Promoting Healthy Sleep:

Advocating for healthy sleep nationwide isn't just about making mattresses. In 2024, King Koil collaborated with Irish author and hypnotherapist, Fiona Brennan, for the launch of her book "Sleep Well". This sleep health campaign was launched in partnership with Harvey Norman.
