Description
Gold Anodised Connectors
Many HDMI cables have gold plated connectors - gold is an excellent conductor and doesn't tarnish easily, however the plating process overlays a layer of metal ontop of the connector itself, which can chip or wear through with repeated use. Monster uses gold anodised connectors, a method which increases resistance of the connector to wear and tear and further protects against corrosion.
V-Grip
A poor physical connection can contribute to loss of picture quality or even the picture itself. Monster V-Grip increases the amount of force necessary to remove the HDMI cable from the port by four times through the use of "teeth" in the connector head that fit corresponding "teeth" present inside every HDMI port. Creating a secure fit is important if your HDMI components move frequently or are in a hard to reach location, for example a TV on an articulating bracket, or a ceiling-mounted projector.
Full Metal Jacket
Cheap cables break easily! Monster further reinforces the HDMI connector with a unique metal jacket to add strength and rigidity to the connector. It's extremely difficult to bend or break the connector of our premium HDMi cables.
Audio Return Channel
This cable has the Audio Return Channel feature, enabling you to send audio "upstream" to a connected AV receiver or surround sound system using less cables.
HDMI Ethernet Channel Support
The HDMI Ethernet Channel provides accommodation for present and future IP-based networking solutions for consumer electronics products, allowing multiple devices to share a single internet connection.
