Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent good value all in one printer. Bought this printer to replace an old machine that had served me well, it is early days but so far this Envy 5030 is well up to the task. Pros; A good price, shop around, I paid a few £s more than if I had purchased directly from HP. Easy setup on all my devices. Instant ink, not had my new printer long enough to test this but I think it is well worth the sign up. Cons; Power lead, far to short come on HP increase the length of your supplied lead. Downloading drivers to my main machine (you will probably only have to do this once) the HP server was very slow, if you had a slow internet connection this could take a while. All in I am well pleased with my new HP printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First class product and service If you are looking for a reasonably priced printer for home use you would not be disappointed with this machine. Good design and looks good on the desktop and produces a more than acceptable text and photo prints. Relatively easy to install, a few hiccups were encountered but that was mainly due to being an old git who doesn't understand modern technology. Installation onto the laptop went like a dream, the problems were encountered when I tried to install onto the main desktop computer. Problems easily overcome by following the online help facility. No complaints following the successful installation.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Painful setup on Windows 10 Test page printed very nicely. But the set up was torture and still not fully working. Keeps saying printer drivers not installed (done it 3 times now!!) The network seems to be connected, but try doing anything from the printer screen and it pretends no apps are installed. Can't scan from printer display, although can work around it from app on Windows 10 laptop. Not at all ideal.... What's really worrying is that the scan doctor can find -and print - all the network details - including your wifi passwords!!! Secure? I don't think so!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Envy 5030 all in one Neat little printer. Works well and good value for money. Unfortunately I set up with a USB port only to discover that I could not then take advantage of the Instant Ink 4 month free trial which required WiFi. It took nearly 2 hours to undo and re-set up using WiFi. Probably would have been much quicker if I had gone down the WiFi route from the beginning. Managed to scan a document but could only do via the software and not the screen on the printer. Still finding my way around but my feeling this is a good purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New HP envy printer After having a few printers over the years I have to admit this is by far the best. Price wise quality wise and set up. After getting it home and within 10/15 minuets I had the printer up and running connect to my wireless network app installed ink fitted and test page printed. Honestly for the price of this printer you can’t go wrong in any direction. Paper sits in a tray hidden from sight so now you can have you printer sitting on show with no paper hanging out. Great product and look forward to many years happy printing .

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great printer but airprint hard to set up I bought this printer because I needed an inexpensive AirPrint printer. It's great as a printer but: 1. You have to install the HP Smart App in any device that wants to print to it. That makes it difficult for my guests 2. When I first installed it, I continually got 'no AirPrint printers found'. I eventually discovered the printer is incompatible with my Netgear Orbi wifi system. I had to turn off my Orbi satellite, then the printer started working properly. Great for printing but not so good for wifi coverage.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hopeless to set up Started off well using app to set up. However, problems began with attempt to link to laptop. A WPS PIN, which should be available on machine or within documentation supplied, is required. Tried every single number printed in documentation or applied to machine, or the number produced by the menu, and have still failed to get machine to work with laptop. It prints well from ipad, and photos are great. Just a pity I need to do most printing from laptop. Will be returning machine to shop.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but. The printer itself is fine. I bought it to replace a similar model that had developed a fault, so I was quite familiar with it's features. I've marked it down because of the nightmare that I had connecting it. I spent over two hours on this and finally had to enrol a computer expert who, in turn, took thirty minutes. He told me that this is not uncommon with HP printers. It's an area that needs addressing as without the availability of my friend, I would have returned the printer as faulty.
