Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TV I bought this a month before Christmas in the Black Friday sales and we are very pleased with it. The picture is excellent as is the sound I'm sure but I am using a new Samsung soundbar with it (which incidentally I could not pair to the TV unlike my phone/IPad on Bluetooth but is working perfectly with the TV via an optical cable). The station menu is a bit fiddly as all the stations seemed to load in a random order unlike my other TV/box arrangement from the same cable provider. One can sort them which I have done with the more popular ones. The settings menu is also a bit unintuitive but manageable. Overall we are well pleased with the new TV.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good picture quality despite some quality issues This TV was highly priced compared to competitor equivalents. The picture quality in standard definition and HD/4k is good. Two things let the TV down and should be taken into account before purchase. Android TV - really good feature but is always slow to respond. Feels clunky. Build Quality - when cleaning I noticed the LCD panel is not firmly stuck to the frame. So even gentle cleaning pressure will show a gap between the frame and bezel. Initially I thought it was just my TV although found this to be the same with the XE70, XE80/XE83 series. Less so with the XE90 and not at all with the Sonys flagship A1.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Outstanding picture. TV worth purchasing just for Blue Planet II alone - the picture is outstanding! TV + frame looks great. YouView nicely links with TV catch-up services. Bad Points. Disappointed with the OS. TV spec says user can record via USB hard drive; User cannot record in YouView mode. If you disable YouView, Freeview mode allows recording but some catch-up services do not work at all. Pause live TV does not work in either of these modes. Stand is awful so I've purchased a different one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from VALUE FOR MONEY I measure products by how much I have had to pay for them. Clearly there are better TVs in the Sony range (or they wouldn't cost so much), but this one satisfies my needs entirely. I've only had the TV for a week, but so far I have no regrets at all. It has a range of 'bells and whistles' - though as a Sky subscriber, I mostly by-pass much of these goodies. The picture quality is very good, and I especially enjoy for the first time, those programmes showing in UHD. As always, the real test will be over an extended period - but the early signs are encouraging.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Frustrating TV but picture quality keeps you going Good sound, excellent picture when using decent sources. You view is rubbish. Also network interfaces not the best. Google cast was a real drive for me to get this but again is intermittent in performance and I use a Network cable but when it works very useful to cast from tablet. BBC iPlayer ITV hub all intermittent in working. Very slow to switch channels etc but that improved slightly with the last update. When tuned with you view lose freesat connection. Annoying message every time switch on saying not connected to internet, then says connected to internet and messages on screen for many minutes. Stick with TV for picture but use smart boxes for apps and catch up. Pity they had not had UK freesat software or freeview play software.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A solid tv Having never owned a 4k tv, I decided on a mid range, reasonably sized tv. Having owned various playstations over the year I decided on a Sony tv. This particular model uses a variant Android OS which I also find useful, if it's tv version is a bit confusing to use at first. The picture is excellent, very vivid and you will not likely get better outside the top line televisions. The sound is okay, I don't use a sound system but it good enough for my personal needs. The pre installed apps include what you would expect (netflix, amazon video, google play etc.), and it is through these that you can get 4k content, so long as you have fibre broadband, it is well worth the cost compared to cheaper rivala. In all a solid tv for 4k

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent I was very impressed at the picture colours in store so chose this model. I chose this 4K HDR to play my Xbox One X on and I'm very satisfied with the quality. After activating HDR on the TV settings I adjusted the contrast slightly as whites were too bright but I just played about in the settings to adjust brightness accordingly. My only niggle is with watching TV, changing channels has a small amount of lag. This is a very small annoyance and compared to my old Television I can notice it perhaps more than others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nearly an Excellent Purchase I purchased my new Sony Bravia smart TV and set it up myself. It works perfect and the picture quality is outstanding. I did experience a few issues with Netflix after the screen just showed blank however this appears to have resolved itself. The only other thing which annoyed me is watching the advertised free movie on Google Play. I followed all the correct steps however when you get to actually watching it, you cannot. You can only watch the trailer or alternatively purchase the video. A big letdown
